- Very fresh results (less than 2 months history) and too fluctuating performance (P&L was -7% just 10 days ago) to judge viability.
- 'Gridding' is involved in 'triplets', which is not favored by larger investors.
- MonthlProfit/DD ratio is not too good... +3.8/-14% In other words average recovery time from max. DD is 3 months (statistically). Of course with a 'gridder' it is different: profits and losses (BOTH) come FASTER and BIGGER.

Just follow till December, and contact me. Their were few losses from start, and check my open trades and you see that i have floating gains, as for the other two, they have higher draw-downs because I target high returns, I can control the draw-downs. That style of trading is not what i use for large funds, but it doesn't mean its not safe.. Also, check my trades, they are open, you would see that i dont hedge, its all tp and stop loss, check profit and loss ratios, and see

Wall St. pro meets Silicon Valley to bring Value Money Management to General Public

Management consultant at OANDA, oversight of client lifecycle managment, a complete change of pace from my previous positions as a Senior Currency Strategist (GCapital), GCMFX (Chief Currency Strategist), MozaicaFX (Senior FX Strategist/ Hedging Consultant) and current position (view profile), restricted to demo trading but live results show average risk reward ratios of 3:1 on Global Macro approach.

Although demo account in these results, trading strategy consistent with live results which may be made available at www.fxmercantile.com depending on regional and regulatory environment for respective regions.

Many traders may recall me from my research distribution, media appearances, and tradeshow presentations. All of which was a part of being an FX Strategist and Trader, and all of which I never considered work.

Now, back in the game in all facets and on a mission to be on top of the industry through innovation and responsible risk management. Usually, my write-ups don't mention any personal portions of my life but one thing I hate hearing when people first found out my Wall St. exp, mostly as an FX trader, they assume I'm extremely risk tolerant.

In fact, the opposite is true. My trading approach takes into consideration a variety of proprietary fundamental and technical analyses techniques but the most important part of trading a volatile and 'risky' market is to be extremely risk averse and always evolve methods used to manage risk.

A mentor of mine, well known and wrote the book on FX Trading (Currency Trading for Dummies), first words to me were:
'The name of the game is to stay in the game. Always remember that'.

This demo account in just under 6 months returned +23.06% on only 6 trades with an average risk reward ratio closer to +10: 1.

Watch list = Not just EUR/USD but the 'Korean Oracle' and one of the'top & savviest traders in the world' as referenced by major media outlets hits the streets with his FX Views that always Beat the Street.

Nice story... But... ARE YOU WEALTHY from trading...?? Are you FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT?

I have an important rule: Personally I don't take any financial (i.e. trading) advice from anyone who is NOT WEALTHIER than me... It makes sense, doesn't it?

(Nota bene: being wealthy is different from being 'rich'). I suggest the same rule to be applied by everyone.

@ Alex. Like the transparency on this site and to be honest, fx profitability seems to be moving towards money management and institutional flows. Thanks for the comment and óne of the big boys'no different from everyone else in that we joined this community because of genuine passion for FX.

Good quote, btw, soft launch testing out site already ahead but we will be setting up live accounts...linking to myFXbook...and bring Wall St. to Main St. No reason only the wealth have access to credible, reputable, and highly regarded (even though FX is niche market, ironic in that it is the largest market in the world),

Media releases picking up and expecting good launch in the Q4. AICAP implements Global Macro Approach to trading, our goal is to utilize OTC spot and derivatives to take advantage of widening yields unexpected by the market.

Short spot today, a little rusty but content is insightful for those who aren't HFT or algorithmic traders. FX is the best trending market in the world, trends are fundamentally driven by future expectations of rates and not current rate differentials. Catching 1000 pips on EUR/USD isn't easy but those who followed me throughout my career know that I've caught a number of 1000 pip trades or 10 big figures for multiple currency pairs.

Data in U.S. is distorted by so much noise...focus regarding sustenance of any trend in all markets should be on Fed rate expectations. https://www.dukascopy.com/tv/en/#137431

Sorry Daniel, the credibility of the displayed results is questionable for TWO reasons:

1. It is a DEMO account, so there was no real financial risk involved, so apparently you don't trust your own strategy to risk even 100 'real' USD with it. Which also brings up the second problem.

2. There is a possibility that BUY and SELL EUR/USD position were opened SIMULTANEOUSLY and on two DIFFERENT accounts in April. Especially on DEMO accounts which carry no financial risk at all. By September one of two accounts would have shown some major profits (while the other major losses), and of course, only the PROFITABLE DEMO account's performance is shown. Simply as that...

FXMG,

Unfortunately I was working for a very highly regulated broker dealer starting April 1st where my position wasn't in strategy or trading and wasn't allowed to trade live. Probably the most highly regulated area globally and rules are rules. You are correct on that it is a demo and that two simultaneous accounts could have been opened. I explained why it was demo in the first post and second you could believe what you stated but if you were to read any of my posts at TraderX@FXinsideINSIGHT, it's very clear my directional bias was to the downside.

Now, it's good that you are questioning the results which is what we advise. I don't trade with my own funds and haven't been allowed to do so due to conflicts of interests. The only time I was allowed to do so was pre-2010 due to regulations which we must all follow, especially when employed with a broker/dealer. Happy trading Oleh.

Demo Accounts

I know other big funds managers that have linked their performances to demo accounts here. I wrote them and they send me all the documents and they are fully regulated. Hedge funds and managed futures funds are not here on Myfxbook. They have relationship with ' Qualified Eligible Participant ' , persons that invest millions of dollars, not 10K or.... cent accounts.

It is good if BIG managers begin to explain and show their strategies here.... can this be the start of a new trend where important funds take care of smaller investors and community? Only the time will show the answer.

Alex, you seem very knowledgeable about the industry overall. We are willing to provide all statements as well. AICAP provides money management but operates as a hedge fund in NYC under filing exemptions for the time being. What sets us apart is our goal to innovate the industry by restructuring the archaic 2 and 20 fee structures most hedge funds use and employ a 2.4 and 18 with the yearly management fee charged or charged off on a monthly basis (.2%/mth) based on a high watermark hurdle (account equity must be higher than equity of prior month excluding deposits). We believe this incentives single fund managers, even smaller ones such as ours, to constantly be on top of the game but does come at a reduction of profits for hedge funds even if all 12 months were charged to client.

Secondly, this company has been built from the foundation up, brick by brick, and our mission is to be the evolution and solution in the industry. On my end, there are many daily tasks that need to be fulfilled but I always upkeep myFXbook because part of the evolution involves the accessibility of Wall St. to Main St..

I was on Wall St. when the whole Wall St. vs. Main St. protests were going on and I remember seeing people cordoned off by police blockades. Hard not to feel empathy for Main St., even as someone who owes his career and stability to Wall St. firms. Regardless of the not so kind comments by some within this post, AICAP will strive to achieve a crossroads between Main and Wall St..

I grew up with my parents owning a few dry cleaning businesses, working from 6 in the morning to 8 at night everyday 6 days a week. 84 hours a week. Similar to the hours I've put in to get to this point in life where I can risk the safety of another job at another company and be granted admission to attend NYU Stern's MBA program based on experience alone. My parents, immigrants from Seoul, South Korea knew nothing about how money made money and scoffed at the idea of my proposal to take some of the profits from their dry cleaning business to invest in WTI futures back in 2003 when I was still in college. They never understood the concept that if managed properly, money can in fact make more money.

Admittedly, AICAP is a small fund compared to the real big boys but we think our business model, methods of innovation, and sound Global Macro Strategy generating high ROI & alpha will be successful in achieving its goals and perhaps making the real big boys change their business models and archaic fee structures.

Looks like 'Martingale', but at least some 'gridding' is involved, nevertheless, a promising start (trade history is very limited) in spite of the fact that average loss is 3x higher than average win. Let's see what happens next...

@eramar89

In January of 2014 you have advertised two other strategies as follows:

'Hi this is my system with 15-20% monthly and dragdown below 10% https://www.myfxbook.com/members/eramar89/eramar89/712694 https://www.myfxbook.com/members/eramar89/try-count/777673'

Since then both links are 'private'. I would be curious to see the mentioned 15-20% monthly performance now in September, especially with the stated 'dragdown' below 10%... Would you please so kind activating the links?
