Forex is not gambling, but if u start hoping on luck without analysing to make trades, then you are gambling, you do not call stock exchange gambling, do you?

Forex i think is not gambling...there is exact number ini forex trading...and non exact number .....probability u can set till 95% win..... gambling is 50 - 50

Forex is not gambling, it is only gambling for the losers in the market who then try to revenge trade to recover their losses. Like iv always said if forex was gambling then im a good gambler!

maybe or maybe not! to be honest sometime I do gambling! but still I only gamble with zynga fake poker chips lol 😁
we not so sure about gambling definition because each people define gambling differently, but for me gambling is when we nervous, scared and not sure what we were doing I.e put all of all our money in single trade and hoping that our luck not running out.
so if we trade and still have that feeling e.g scared, nervous and not sure about our trade, it could be consider as gambling! the danger about gambling is when our luck running out! and loss big money in single trade! in other words if our DD more that 50% it could be consider as gambling! but of course ROI would be different and far from normal trade, but when we loss it will fall badly.

For some it is gambling, for some it is not. You can tell it easily looking at one's account's profit graph.

You guys are beyond brainless. You can't compare poker to forex. Forex you can control your position the entire way. You base your positions on many many many many factors. Well in poker it is all LUCK OF THE DRAW. Pocket ACES Is the best DRAW card one can have, but if someone else has POCKER QUEENS, and a Q drops on the community. Your pocket aces are no longer in control! You are now hoping and praying for another ACE!

I wouldn't say that we can't gain profit. As many people do. It is just our interpretation of how the market works is all wrong. Which is why profit isn't consistent.

Well, I believe that whether or not consider Forex as a gambling depends on the trader's personality. For example one might just look at the candles, trying to catch a right moment, sometimes placing the orders based on his own vision/prediction/feelings - this is a kind of gambling. But on the other side we have people with million trend lines on their charts, thousand of indicators etc. So for those guys trading is a mathematician. Forex is something specific that attracts very different people. and this is my vision

The difference between gambling and business is in the reasons. Ask yourself this question: Is there a reason why the jackpot number 456738 came out and become a winner? Is there a reason why the Sterling depreciate? Or any other currency/instruments for that matter. Is there a reason why Apple's share rise?
Gambling is a game of chance. There is no reason whatsoever for the outcome of the instruments/tools performance. Whereas in financial instruments, there are reasons why the instrument rise or fall. Unfortunately, we can become a gambler when we approach it like a gambler even though the instrument by itself is free from gambling.

There is always a reason for the outcome idiot! No one goes and gambles hoping they lose just like no one goes trading and hopes they lose!
Perhaps your God doesn't work hence why your still hoping to get lucky and make it rich.

I would agree that is depends on how you trade or gamble. You could be the guy in front of the computer in an online poker room playing Texas Hold 'Em and all you know how to play is Go Fish, or you could be the one who studies techniques, statistics, etc. I would a assume the same goes for trading. I could just hope EURUSD goes up, or I can learn the craft of trading.
So, yes forex is a gamble because you have capital at risk. And trading is such that capital and goods are exchanged.
Because in the end, it doesn't matter what you call it as long as you can hone your craft and make money while doing it.

Many call it gambling because they do not understand how it works. We call it trading and business because we understand what it involves . Success is not meant for majority but minority . Sinners are greater than righteous , evil has more pungent smell than good.
Forex is a business that only you can succeed if you make your own research and define your own trading system. Most traders search for shared ideas about trading but majority of those do not work. You can only profit it when you define and test several strategies that gives better prediction and imply strong risk management and discipline into your trading.
