I started on EA trading and moved to manual trading. The lack of perceived control I had and also lack of understanding didn't help when I saw larger drawdown numbers that I just wouldn't see with manual trading. Arguably made me tougher in the face of any drawdown manually now.

I am still trading manually, but if required, I may switch to automated trading in the future.

But have you ever tried to see if it works good in full auto?

I dont get it why manual DD would be different than automatic drawndown.
To auto trading, i preffer writting all codes in Python or c++ than in EA, then I use the metatrader api to send the orders.

I prefer both manual and automatic trading tips. Everything depends on what I want from my trades.
