Spike53, is this fading the spike like MDP? And is this purely based on Candles, or did you throw in any others indi's? If you share the mql version i'll spend some time backtesting and any adjustments I make I'll add as an attachement. Im building a EA that trades both directions at the same time and has a much larger take take profit than the loss. Has a trailing TP to maximize the gains. Doing well on a small scale. Perhaps you could do this and make bigger gains.Garry

Backtesting is the first step in creating a good ea but as Splexin said you need to test it on a larger timeframe. Once that is done you will want to forward test it on a demo account. If that works then move to a live account to test.

Yeah good resource. But as I said, spreads are indicative but not definitive. Until you put an order you never know where the fill would be. And slippage adds to costs, effectively increasing spread. By the way, thanks for pointing to the LMAX, looks awesome I am going to trial it after festivities.
