I have spent the last week looking at over 100 systems / strategies only to find crap after crap. There are probably about 2-5% of traders / systems here that are worthy of the service that MyfxBook have freely given for all to use. I looked at EA's on the systems page that show great returns but when a full analysis is done they are running at a loss.....WHAT IS THE POINT!!!
There are heaps of so called money managers promoting their systems that they trade on demo accounts....WAKE UP!!!

I believe it is time to set some standards before this website is ridiculed beyond belief.
How about setting some stringent rules to identify the serious traders/ money managers and EA programmers from the crap that promotes itself on this site?

Life is full of scammers trying to take money from you by any means, I don't think this is the place it should happen.

A bit harsh but I believe needed.

Great trading to the real traders out there, the rest of you.........stop wasting everyones time with your crap

It's unfortunate how the site is used.

The real value of the site is for your personal automated stats. That alone makes it worth it. Helps me a lot. No more spread sheets....!!

Exactly! This is the only reason I am here.

The personal critique Myfxbook that allows you to perform on your own trading makes it worth the visit. In fact, I do not have my system public because I am not here for everyone else's praise or rebuttal. lol

Rob,

you are spot on, this site is misused by scammers in big style. But I really don't understand why you're categorizing this site to serve ONLY PROMOTING PURPOSES (promotion of anything; EAs, services, etc). It's the poor believing people searching for effortless income who's responsible for the unhappy situation. Just look around the forum - you will spot numerous inquires from people actually looking for traders to manage money.. '..please, please, take my money and double 'em every month' or so. AFAIK, myfxbook never encouraged anybody to join someone's service or public offering. This site doesn't separate commercial/non-commercial interests (as ForexFactory for instance) and so this situation is a result of supply and demand. Maybe the site itself could increase its focus visibly in some anti-scam education. I personally suggested for some advanced charting options (time based equity charts w/floating P/L and leverage exposed) and was assured everything will come in time.

You'd have to EDUCATE the people not to become victims of scam. You'd have to EXPLAIN them that their GREED for effortless income is nonsensical. I'm sure that this can't be done. So what are you suggesting to do? Some kind of censorship? Some '..try to promote yourself without (at least one year tracked) real account and get banned?' rule? Yes, but will such (or similar) mesure stop the victims from falling into the trap again and again, since they seem to pull money out of their pockets just as they spot gazillion %gains everywhere??

I'm playing a funny game with a zero-deposit-welcome-bonus-cent account since a week. I have the stats for myself and a couple of friends outside the site. It has little in common with real trading. I don't have (and will never have) ANY SLIGHTEST commercial interests, if someone would contact me to manage his money, I'd shout at him 'run away man! are u crazy??'.

But should I delete the account because it's crap (yeah, I don't say it isn't lol) showing 300% gain after one week? Is it immoral? Am I wasting anyone's time with it? Shouldn't we prohibit contests? They are total crap. Shouldn't everybody who's ROI is above 2% a month be banned automatically??

I don't think so. But I welcome any constructive suggestions because the evident scammers make me sick, too ;-)

Edit: received a PM '..we want you as money manager' half an hour ago.. LoL :-D No, thanks :-D

Guys, there are already a few suggestions in the suggestion box regarding systems, verifications, cleanup etc. Why not add these ideas there?
Websites always want more and more visitors and registered users. They want traffic. As long as traffic grows faster than the Chinese GDP, why would anyone change anything here?

What is myfxbook? My browser says: 'Automated analytical tool for your forex trading account | Social forex community'
YEAH!

You see a scammer? Post your thoughts, preferably with some evidence. A fool and his money are soon parted - here or on the streets, shit happens every day ...

You think someone's dreaming and their trading is crap? Sez who? Yeah I agree, wankers constitute a large proportion but don't forget that even the best 'cocksmith' started as a pathetic wanker ... as long as they're not advertising their (real or perceived) trading skills, we can just let them be, can't we? 😄

Surround yourself with people whose eyes light up when they see you and who have no agenda for your reform.

i'm not promoting my fx. use myfx to analyze result. I can't access my VPS all the time due to some restrictions, but to access myfxbook is not a problem. even I can't change or close the trade, but at least I know the status of my accounts.

above all myfxbook still a greatest live stat :). it help me alot to analyze my own trading, lot help feature which i never knew before :). reason for public share are to received more critique, the more it is the better will be. building own system should be easier when we always evaluate realtime, and myfxbook help me to do this soon. besides this site are community based one, discuss to make a closer step of secure and reasonable trading result, while there also many system shared comes up as insult to another :).
what can't be seen cannot be defeated.

I see nothing wrong with promoting, they way I see it, I am helping and they are helping me. Like ZZZERO, I see your results and makes me sick, so sick that I am willing to give you my EA for 20.00USD so you can use for one month that way you can get back some of your money back. I hate scammers and every chance I see one, I will comment and I hope something gets done about it.

myfxbook is like any other place, there are bad people, good people , sick people and crazy people, if we are all thinking the same and doing the same, this would be boring....

100% agree with you, Anadova

some people are bad, and some are very bad. only complaint, criticize and demotivate others. If their result shows excellent return, than I'm ok with that. But still we can find good guys here.

oh by the way, maybe some bad people are having bad results and they wrote stupid comments to satisfy themselves or to release the tensions... well look at the positive side.... 😁
