If I trade the forex market and I will hopefully provide a sustainable and profitable trading service, do I need to be licensed or something like that?

Show your trading skill to investors First, if they like your trading result you will get found to trade.

You need to be properly licenced if you take deposits and trade other peoples money

I would say a steady, sustainable, low risk and the most importantly profitable trader is attractive.

I assume some people already replied that you need to be looking at your own potential first and only then do provide some other things like licensing and so on, everything is quite bad today absolutely, but let's hope it will be fixed like investing climat with COVID 19.

true, they must be confident in your trading style and results. and license, of course. without a license people will not even consider you for investing.

Of course, for any action on the market, you need a license. Investors need to understand that they can trust you. Good brokers have a regulator, which provides legal support to traders in case some unknown situations occur. So, if you are serious about your future plans , you can use it all, too.

the license still does not guarantee you that you will not lose your account

You can find positive and negative reviews about any company.
So I would probably recommend checking everything personally, just starting with a small amount so that it is safe for you and you can personally assess everything for yourself.

Rather then take that root, i mean obviously after you demonstrate a consistently profitable systems over a 1-2 year period. There are many copy trader/social trading platform. Also PAMM account, no need for licencing. This is the approach i have taken...good luck

Get a License if you have the opportunity to, it may come handy too in some case, but as a Freelance Trader, I did not get or need no License

Yes, you need to have a license so that people can trust you and invest money without being afraid that they can lose money.

Most likely you will have to register.

Sure. You won't give your money to the person that you don't know and just called you, right? So a registration is kind of a protection for the investor.

Yeah, you have to register under federal or state securities laws. For US, you have to register with SEC.

You need to choose a regulated broker to trade in the forex market.
