High leverage can bring profit instantly if you are able to make proper trading planning with great risk management policy , otherwise you can fall a huge loss by taking high leverage , in this market place by and large traders in particularly the newcomers fall a great loss by taking high leverage due to non-sense planning and zero risk management approach. So, before trading with high leverage we have to know how to manage risk.

Sadly high leverage trading is not possible in US and EU any more. This is real problem for many trader and may end up killing the retail Forex market in these geographies

I am convinced that with a leverage of 1:30 one can gain profits of 1% to 2% daily by day trading strategies. I think it should be enough. Besides, it is possible to limit the risk to 2% or less than 20 pips per trade.

Even if one is working 8 hours a day there is still market open somewhere around the clock for 16 hours. If one is trading long term even 30 (leverage) is too much.

We achieve 1% daily to our accounts (you can check them on my profile and track them) with 1:30 but the old days of 1:500 we did 10-12%!!! The difference is huge... we miss these days

Sure, that is a huge difference, I can imagine. Then the thing is to someday gain a pro status and have 1:2000 leverage, 1:30 is not going to destroy the business, however. BTW, I already checked your acc.

Honestly, I would never go anything higher than 1:500, normally stick to 1:200 as a good middle. Going too high is just a recipe for disaster, normally just for those that are getting greedy.

Even 1:500 is very high but I have seen higher. Most I saw was 1:1000. I use 1:200 but keep my account size small so that I limit my losses. High leverage can be safe as long as you understand risks and how to manage a high leverage account

A trader should follow the 'forex golden rules'. High leverage means high risk, your greed sometimes wants to play a tricky game with your mind - result 'your fund should be 0' 😁, if you are not a professional in this investing market. So before taking a high risk to be warned.

I think, anything more than 1:100 trading leverage is high trading leverage! In addition, as a long term trader I am not comfortable with high leverage.

In Fx trading from all trading elements leverage is most important which an investor should consider when choosing a broker. It allows an investor to grow his market exposure to a level that exceeds the initial investment.

With 1:500 aren't you worried that a spike in the price could cause massive losses? I read that you can lose more than your deposit, doesn't that mean that if you enter a 1 Lot trade and it blows through your stop loss you can loss everything on your account and then the broker can come after you for more money.

You should be worried if you made the mistake to trade more than 0.01 lot for every 1000 in balance.
Leverage of 1:500 is perfect to help you pass through long periods of DD, it is not to trade 1 lot with 1-200 or even 1000 as balance.

I think when they trade with tiny deposits it is not a problem, and usually only low-grade brokers provide leverages 1:500 and more. Such kind of brokers doesn't have a power to make clients give their extra losses back to the broker.

Hey guys , about leverage
If I have 1:500 leverage and use 0.1 for each 10k , is it the same for example if I have leverage 1:250 and use 0.05 for each 10k ?.. is all conditions and margin and free margin the same or it doesn't work like that ?
