I tried silver once but I found that the spread was quite high with the broker that I use. I stick to gold now

Good choice; same here! Although, I don’t avoid the silver completely but gold is my 1st choice.

Cobalt has become an interesting metal to trade used in the batteries for electric cars, demand will only increase in the coming years.

Gold is the worst thing to trade. I suggest that you don't trade Gold. Trade the major currency pairs only, as they have tighter spreads and are more consistent in there behavior and much easier to trade than gold or other metals. Even experienced traders get hammered trading gold. I have been trading for about 10 years and do quite well, BEWARE of the BEAST (Gold).

I think, if you strategy works on the both; then there is no problem with the silver.

Trading with gold is one of the best, it is an asset that is maintained through the years and has great high-low, in addition to the offer is safe. I like it.

It hasn't even occurred to me to look at its charts. I should take a look.

Can be used as an indicator sometimes also when trading US dollar.

Sorry i cant agree that's its one of the best !!! At the moment it's ok because its moving sideways in a ranging motion, but the trouble with Gold is that spikes way too much and will take you out of a trade... even when you have your stop loss in the proper place.

Hi Kieran! Which trading indicator did you mean? Any default or custom? Actually I have very bad experience on trading indicators! Now my major is the PA trading skill.

Gold usually has an opposite correlation to the US dollar, can be used as a confirmation indicator sometimes, the Dollar index is another of many, one has to be very selective with regard to indicators, some are useful but not all the time, important to know how they work just remember if everyone is using similar there's no edge. I would use Price Action,BB,SMA ,depends on if its trending or in a range. 20% Technical, 80% Fundamental.
