ok guys , we dont need to put this into fight. as posted earlier I am aware of that brokers does not change IB s or as far as I remember they dont accept new accounts with current clients over IB s. I know becouse I had missed that opportunity with Pepper. learned about cashback later after opened account & asked them to swicth but it was not accepted.

I must say that I dont belive my self doing such thing. I think I am getting older & thinking less. But on the other hand I also ask myself following questions while putting myself into a position of ICM client;
- why ICM apllying different discounts with diferent IB s?
- how fare is it for clients like me finding the better one after going over with the other?
- how this effects actual/future clients of ICM?

I made my own judment & said I was wrong. at the end I am bold & honest enough to do that
but why ICM putting me in that kind of situation with different opportunuties?

I think I had enough fight in my whole life. so guys staying coll always better.

It is ultimately up to the IB to decide how much he or she wishes to rebate back, and further, how much he or she wishes to serve his clients. Sometimes there is actual value added on the IB's side; HFT Group offers some excellent customer support for example. Always keep in mind that the size of the discount isn't always the only consideration. Further it is ultimately up to the client to research the various offerings available (much like brokers!) and decide which appeals most to him.


That said, I think everyone's made their peace and we can get back to the substance of this thread: evaluating and reporting the pros and cons of ICM as they stand.

some may think why I have asked such Q for 0.05 pips difference while its too small. correct I agree with that.
but also while I am trading with average 1,000 trades/month it makes difference for me. 😉

No fight here Steve and this is definitely not your doing :)

There is supposed to be a level playing field for ICM IB's so as not to disadvantage clients. I will take steps to have this implemented.

Note that the ICM website is down for routine maintenance. Clients are still able to login to their secure client area here however: https://secure.icmarkets.com/Account/LogOn?ReturnUrl=%2f

Just an update, the funds has arrived in my card yesterday.

1. Waiting for 3 days since approved, made contact with my bank and the funds still haven't arrived.
2. Chat with live chat support which is unlucky me to had live chat support with 'less good attitude' staff where he/she kept saying I have to wait until 5 working days.
3. Decided to send an email to accounts@icmarkets.com to clarify this issue.
4. While checking my emails, apparently they've sent me couple of emails regarding my withdrawal and those are in my spam folder.
5. On the email they ask me to provide more information regarding my card because my card detail that used to make deposit already expired.
6. I've replied their email, but I have to wait until monday because when I sent the email it's already off the working hour there in Australia.

I only can laugh due to these circumstances hahaha.. I hope this will be solved on monday or at least on tuesday.

There's an error on the withdrawal method status, it should be to Credit Card, and I've confirmed with their live chat support and they've said the correct one should be Credit Card, not bank transfer. I'll update again later once the funds arrived in my card.

Sounds good dunk! Glad to know that my funds can be reliably and promptly withdrawn from ICM; easily one of the most if not the most important trait of any broker; the best trading conditions in the world will avail you nothing if you can't extract your profits after all, haha.


By the way, those who still can't see the IC Markets website likely need to flush their DNS.

Have not bothered to read the prior 7 pages before posting this. I'll be doing that after to see what the consensus has to say about this broker.

I have traded with their demo for over a year. Was looking to fault them, but could not.

Opened up a real account. Only been trading less than a month on that so far, and again, nothing of a concern to report whatsoever.

I've traded in Real time with two other brokers prior, which I'll refrain from naming. During their experience via the demo platform, everything seemed rosy and problem free. That all changed when we delved into the Real Time server though. So, you can imagine what my hesitation is with this broker.

But, as I said. Everything this broker proclaims, thus far, seems to be the case. It's as though it's somewhat 'too good to be true'. But time will tell on that one. If they persist this the professionalism that I've encountered to date, I can't see how they wont be Australia's leading FX ECN broker. I guess that's when the problems may arise. When one becomes too big for their shoes perhaps? I just hope they always maintain this level of service though.

I'm only trading minute amounts at present, testing their real time server and like I said, it's perfect. Will it remain as such though? Here's hoping.

In regards to Surrealistik and rebates, could you explain that too me further please?
