Which do you prefer from both?
I prefer Mt5 even though I started with mt4.
Mt5 makes me much more profits with ease than mt4, I have no words to explain this, but mt5 is the best

MT5 is definitely more advanced, metatrader developers definitely took into account requests from traders and introduced some important features especially python support which enables us to write EAs at ease which I do constantly trading with HFM.

I also prefer MT5—it’s faster, and works better with trading tools like telegramsignalcopier making trades & signals easier to handle.

Dear friend, I work with both platforms. Making a profit is related to your strategy first and secondly to the account type and the speed of your broker's servers.
In Meta5, the speed and types of accounts and spreads are less, so it may work better.
But Meta4 is simpler and easier to work with.
For programmers like our team who write strategies, there is no difference and a strategy has similar results on both platforms. Only in real accounts, the account type (ECN & ECN_pro ) must be selected and the broker server ping must be paid attention to.
I hope you are always profitable.

This amount of difference is very surprising to me. Because the difference between the two platforms is only in the servers and users and the charts are not fundamentally different.
Of course I agree that MetaTrader 5 is better and more dynamic.

Same strategy, but mt5 gives you more diversity. So I make way more especially closing all trades once in split seconds. On mt4, I have to use special tools for that. Alright my clients now are on Mt5 and the differences is huge.

I started with MT4, but after testing out MT5(fxview), I realized it had a lot more charting tools that fit my style better. So, I switched to MT5, and it's been working great for me. But it’s all about what works best for you, so I’d recommend testing both platforms to see which one feels right for your trading approach.

The MT4 vs. MT5 debate is largely overblown, especially for manual traders. While MT5 offers perks like the MQL5 language and multi-threaded tools for coders, these are irrelevant to most traders. Both platforms deliver identical functionality for charting, execution, and analysis.
The added extras in MT5, like more timeframes and strategy testing, are nice but far from essential for success. SAME STRATEGY, SAME MINDSET, BUT STILL, CLAIMS OF PEOPLE DOUBLING OR TRIPLING PROFITS AFTER SWITCHING TO MT5 FROM MT4 HONESTLY CRACK ME UP. Profitability comes from strategy and discipline, not a platform. For most, MT4 remains more than sufficient. Additionally, MT4 has a slight advantage because there are a huge number of free/premium indicators, EAs, and trading systems available for MT4 compared to MT5.

Have you tried acttrader with fxview? I find it much better as compared to mt4, mt5.

MT5 is the better one for sure, much more pleasing to the eye and user friendly, though they are generally the same.

If a trading strategy works well on MT4, I don't see the point in switching to MT5, as unnecessary unforeseen problems may arise. As for beginners, it's better for them to start directly with MT5.

I like both, but I prefer MT5 as they are much more advanced and much easier to access.

Frankly I didn't know that MT5 works faster I thought they are the same, since it depends on the broker and their liquidity providers.
