i trade news frequently, as all news traders we trying to avoid the slippage as much as we could since it may eliminate a good share of our profit when the market really moves hard n fast due to a nice impact of a certain news event...

i dont have much info about vps... but i think its a way to let u have faster connection with ur price provider....?

i would be grateful if anybody can share more info about vps in general.... will it reduce the slippage... any recommendation for vps providers ( my broker servers in london)... n does it mater where i live or the only important part is where r my broker servers?!

Trading news is a hard one, as the first and often fast move is in very small or no liquidity. No matter of broker or where they are placed, if no liquidity in the market, you will end up with a bad trade.

Many are counter trading the first move, after the first 15 min bar - it could turn out to be a better idea.

In real time trading you do not have the advantage of the hindsight, as when looking at the chart afterwards.

Hi I found that service (www.cheap-forex-vps.com) some times ago for only $3.59 month I use them 3 month now and really happy with it. Recommend them to all who need good quality for good money.

Hello bashar,

what matters is the physical location of the brokers server and the VPS server. As example: If the server from your broker is loacated in London, you should look for a VPS provider with server in London.

Although, there are providers who offer VPS servers for cheap money. Keep in mind that cheap often costs more at the end. Thanks for the graphic! Looks pretty. Although, I didn't fully understand what is cross conneccted VPS.

I have BeeksFx VPS and Crossconected Pepperstone account.

Average total time for place , edit and close oders in around 120ms

I'm a news trader. Most slippage is becouse of banks doesn't want to take risk and sends only high /low offers - that's how gap is creating. In most cases it opens order on first tick after news publication.
