The best platform in my opinion is one which has a good interface and all the technical indicators and features that allows a trader to carry out his analysis in the best possible way. Though there are various platforms out there, the most widely used, being the Meta trader 4 and 5,that even i use with fxview and is available with majority of brokers these days. Rest it depends on a trader's requirements too.

I find it very surprising that many established big brokers don’t allow scalping because perhaps it’s not very profitable for them, I have been scalping for more than 1 year now, using MT4 on XTB and Fxview. MT4 works good for this trading strategy, and with lower spreads of fxview which are so essential for scalping, although small, I have been able to make consistent income from forex.

Of course, the reliability and quality of the platform is determined by the fact that it is quite functional and simple.

I found Turnkeyforex to be a really simple to use platform so I use that for scalping and Oanda, I keep for the longhaul stuff, mostly an EUR/USD investment.
Yes, the interface should be smooth and they must be reliable for traders. What platforms do you use @Fred?
