comparing signal providers and EA... and where to find the best?

Hi there,

I'm new here, in Forex as well.

As I do have a day job which requires most of my concentration, I would like to trade automatically, in order to keep my positions open at night as well. As far as I can see, there are two options: Expert Advisors and Signal Providers.

What are the (dis)advantages of those?

And where to look for the best? This site contains completely different EA's and signals than the MQL4/5 community pages. Is it a silly question to ask my broker?

Thanks for your input,

sin

Hi sin,

If you put Ea on your account you should have complete control over the trades.
With signal following you will just mirror the trades without such control

I wouldn't sign up to a new signal before next week, wouldn't trust a stranger to trade through the Brexit.

@Magiic I agree with you 100%. Brexit will be very tricky time. Better just wait for next week.

I think, most managers worth their salt, will be wise and cease trading for a day or two.
My accounts will ALWAYS show high DD. This is done purposely to maximize our withdrawals every week.

I think the same wiseinvest, no one should go into with positions unless there size is that small that large move would not damage the account, I just don't see why anyone would sign up for a few days performance and trust the person they don't know. FX already has leverage, and the Brexit magnifies that leverage which is scary.

before you decide either, you should learn about the trading systems others offer or sell. This article was focused on martingale, a pure gambling methodology. It's a great way to lose money, please take it seriously - https://redrhinofx.com/junk-signals/

@wiseinvest A day or 2? I've been trading for over 15 years and I have no intention of trading until after the vote next week. So I'll actually be taking the week off.
