Those who are working on their development do not want to be successful in trading, but they do not try to fight greed, because they understand how unsafe it is.

A successful trader surely requires some level of confidence and it is when they are overconfident and fall into the trap of greed, they start losing.

Yes, it is absolutely the truth. Greed is not at all good for a trader in forex.

Keeping a good control over your emotions is something every trader has to do while trading. Greed can be quite worse for prospective profits.

Confident is good but overconfident is a curse.

People tend to become more greedier the moment they are able to make consistent profit. So it is very important that they control in that aspect to prevent it overtaking in their trading

It is the most dangerous thing for traders. They should avoid greed while trading.

Greed is the cause of destruction. It leads to over trading and unnecessary trading. Profit target should be logical and also should match with skills. If I have ability to get 50 pips, my expectations should not more than that.

I also agree. Greed is the root of all evil in trading.

I absolutely agree that greed is a big poison. It prevents so many traders to trade profitably. I know two big problems in trading. The first is fear and the second is greed. If you manage to cope with two common vices, you can become a successful trader.

In trading, and in life in general, you must always be confident in your actions. As for me, this is a very good quality for a trader.

It’s important to know that being greedy won’t do any good to you. If you want to really make it in your trading career, you have to make sure that you trade only when it is needed. Not any time that seems to be a good time just because you want to make money.

In fact, uncertainty is a critical feature of a trader. You must always be confident in your actions.

Greed is the most poisonous weapon while trading in the forex market as if not controlled and monitored, it can lead to unnecessary irrational trading decisions in forms of overtrading and overleveraging etc. which leads to vast amounts of losses.

Traders become greedy by looking at forex because of endless earning opportunities. Also, at the same time, they underestimate the risk and potential losses that trading recklessly could lead to. To avoid the latter, they need to act rationally and get the right education before taking any steps.

I think it's a fine balance. If greed keeps you in a trade too long when everything is telling your to get out then of course it leads to loss. Equally I think that there is a psychological issue we face as traders where some will feel 'unworthy' of making a certain amount of money and will cut trades short from fear that 'that's enough'. Let the markets tell you when that is enough and you will likely strike the balance.
If you can't spot the liquidity then you are the liquidity.

The trader's confidence in his actions is a key task. I don't think there's much point in working without it.
