I found to be successful in Forex, all you need is good skills on Technical Analysis and keep your ears open on the Fundamental side. You need to love what you are doing and Read, Read and more Read on the subject.

So success in the forex market is dependant on english literacy and forum ethics?

OK, that's perfectly clear. And how do you know you could be next year's Spelling Bee Champion? 😁

So I see most people are traders for a couple of years but there is many factors to becoming an experienced trader. When do you graduate to becoming the guru of forex? Is it a time thing, a profit factor, or just losing your shirt so many times that you have learned. Who can you trust to get some facts from, the right advise so to speak. I know the first thing that comes to mind is well they make money. Well you can make money just at a normal job but that may not mean your a guru so to speak. I don't know maybe its the way people talk about forex that makes you a pro. The fancey lingo for all the different terms to forex. There is so many people who hide behind a wall of smarts but really they are a con. So I ask, 'Are you an experienced trader?'😎

not everyone has english as their first language.. judging peoples trading abilities based on their grammar is folly.

When you have made mistakes, maybe lost some $$ but have learned from each one and never repeated.
Also when you can instantly take a trade that is within your strategy without hesitation or the worry of will this win or will it loose. Also if that trade looses and the next one after you can carry on consistently without becoming an emotional wreck... and of course make consistent profits.. while taking full responsability for any transactions, that is not blaming or resenting the market for any wins or losses... the market is indifferent about us so we should be indifferent about the market.

Thats just my opinion though.

I totally agree, but I would add : you know you are an experienced trader simply when you understand your best 'ennemy' is neither the market nor other traders but you. That is to say when you know if you can strictly follow your trading strategy and money management. That is why I trade automatically with Expert Advisors for example...

Hello Everyone!

My name is Denis and I am new here!
Been trading forex since 2004. Very interesting question:' How do you know your a experienced trader? '

I will try to add my answer as contribute to this subject!
Well, there are so many things which I could mention but what is the essence?
Essence is the edge!
If you can explain to someone else 'mathematical edge' and 'price behavior in time manner' so clearly that he can understund and trade accordingly after 20-30 days then I would say for that person that he is experienced trader.

The best way to explain to your self is to explain to someone else!!!

That is maybe the reason why is there so many false teachers out there!!!
It is most important to have your risk setup to zero!
