In Fx trading, learning is not easy despite of having too many sources including pips school, learning sometimes boning and usually new traders get tempts to start trading without enough knowledge and become fascinated with the way of trading live which may cause laziness and trapped by wishful thinking get rich quickly scheme

I have been trading forex, futures, equities and options for over 15 years now as my sole source of income. It has been a difficult road. My advice for a new trader is to NOT pay for any courses, tips, schools, etc for at least a year because you can learn so much by reading good books on trading (which is 90% mental and 10% strategy setup). Yes Trading is 90% a psychological problem.
Watch as many youtubes on wave analysis that you can. People are going to try and sell you stuff. Don't buy anything. You are the solution to the problem. You can't rely on someone else. Join a meetup group in your area. Read Mark Douglas' books on trading.
Don't make any trades for at least 1 year. Make a PLAN (google search trading plan), which includes training on platforms.
Good luck to your journey.
Never give up!

Learning forex can be very overwhelming, and despite the vast amount of education sources out there, I personally think as a complete newbie you should stick to one, and not try and jump into everything at once.
Master and understand the basics is vital.
There is a lot of hype out there, and it can be hard when first starting forex not to be pulled towards lots of different things and ultimately not get very far!

I like what you say. I have tried so many different strategy and learning resource. I wish I had justed focused on area first and worked on that the whole time

Hey all - newbie here from London.

Having just finished the Babypips course and read Mark Douglas' Trading in the zone, I'm keen to develop my learning and build a system that will eventually get me out of my 9-5 and fully into swing trading. Pray for me!

I've actually been offered a chance to be mentored 1-on-1 for a £2.5K cost, so I'm currently trying to get as much advice as possible before committing

Many thanks,

£2.5k sounds like a lot. How do you know the mentor is real and knows what they are doing? It could be some scam

Who offers 1 on 1 mentoring? Is it online? I have not seen 1-1 mentoring before. Normally it is in a group

I am just fixing my strategy and i am testing that in demo. My strategy is PA with rsi. I think it will be workable. First need to have reliable strategy then go to real trade. I am testing and correcting for 2 yrs in demo.
Day by day having better, better and better...
