Hey guys, I've been searching through the forums and different systems etc. I was wondering if anyone had come across an EA that could generate something like 2-3% per month? This would be 24-36%/year, crushing most mutual funds. I'd love to be able to find something that could produce modest results over a long time period! I know I may sound ignorant, but I'm very new to Forex and excited about the possibilities. Thanks.

hi,

The EA that i am using now is aiming at 3 to 5% monthly. You can have a look on my EA. You said long term period, how long do you mean? Actually no one can guarantee future performance on any systems either auto or manual.

You can have a visit to my Forex Cafe, https://winterwongforex.com/ea-leasing
But for your disappointment I only have a steady Leasing EA generate average 92% ROI per month for 10 month demo record.

If you looking for average 2-3% EA, you can visit here :

Hi Brother,

Just my opinion, No offend to you and your trading system.
When people say steady income, what i think he means no negative profit month. Every month gain few %. He does not mean something average profit on few%.

Thanks,

Yep, that's what I read as well. I'd love a method of a guaranteed sum every month from Forex but unfortunately I just don't think it's that easy.
The best thing you can do, if you are looking for an income from Forex is to ensure that you have a cash surplus to get you through the losing months.

It blow off because I want to play safe just risk 500 USD per month. If you like to see no blowing off account just put 2k in the account and let it run.

Here the example :
Peridod : 6.5 month
Net Profit : 2700.53
AverageProfit/month : 415.46 USD

Ya I don't know, I see a big fat -62% there....

Ohh.... -62% is base on ROI $500. So that month lose $310.90.

Many people do get confuse when they look at the %ROI, they though their previous winning also lose and only left 38%.

Here a more clear picture using Dollar $ instead of ROI%.

Oct'09 500Acc become 1537.52
Nov'09 500Acc become 189.10 (LOSE)
Dec'09 500Acc become 1462.21
Jan'10 500Acc become 820.40
Feb'10 500Acc become 3.64 (LOSE)
Mac'10 500Acc become 1227.57
Apr'10 500Acc become 754.57 ( Recorded in myfxbook)
May'10 500Acc become 2590.36 ( Adding Equity Protection so it only risk 500 USD )
Jun'10 500Acc become 184.98 (LOSE)
Jul '10 500Acc become 840.16

So if you put 2k to let it run, it will lose $310.90 also or -15.54% instead of -62%.
My EA is not compounding, is using fix martingale lot size on every trade, so you will have the same $dollar of lose but not same ROI of lose.

Here the ROI you will get if use 2k as deposit.
10 month got 3 month lose, total lose = $1122.88. ROI -56.11% for 2k Acc.
10 month got 7 month win, total win = $5732.79. ROI +286.63% for 2k Acc.
Net profit = $4609.91, ROI of 2k Acc = 230.49%
Average ROI per month for 2k Acc = 23.04%

So very sorry to tell you that $2000 Account is still unable to achieve average 2% ROI per month for you.

You need to have a $23,000 Account and using my Risk1 setting of KB5, then I will able to make a steady income of 2% for you.
If you just give me $500 Account, I can only make an average of 92% ROI per month.
But it will not be steady as some month will blow your account sky high and lose all your $500 investment.

So I suggest you give me $20k of your trading account, then I will be able make a steady profit of average 2% ROI for you each month.

Damn... I never thought to achieve 2% ROI is so difficult.
Can you increase more ROI target ? Else I'm very hard to make you become my customer.

Thank you visiting my web site, guess I will lose one more customer today as unable to satisfy their need of 2% ROI.

I think it is not that hard to find a system to generate 2-3% monthly. But the point is this system must be consistently generating 2-3% every month without fail. Meaning it is not looking at average return.

There are a lot of expert here, we should be able to find few good traders.

hi,
just want to share my account performance:
i've been trading less than 1 year. Based on the monthly gain, it's 39%. I have 93% in Jan '11 and - 6.66% in March '11.
But I do lost the whole account in Oct '10. Stupid mistake. Lot size should be 0.02 but mistakenly put 0.2 = die

https://www.myfxbook.com/members/uda7805/pphunter020/80717

target to get 40% this month. Good luck to you all and to me too.

pilTrader:
yes, automated. but to be honest, when tsunami come, I need to deactivate EA heheheh... so is it still consider automated?
Then I need to take lost (close with lost) just to increase the margin level. Normally when my margin level hits below 800%,
I switch to manual.

tsunami means, too many layers open (normally > 6 layers)

I trade forex aggressively, when bad time comes = -6%. Now only play around with 6 pairs.
Pray God that I could maintain 40% a month.

autopilot is an awesome feature whether it is a Car, Plane, Chopper, etc... but in worse conditions you need to switch to 'manual' or else you'll get busted. In your case, you are doing it right (Automated with manual overide).

Did you code your own EA? I mean are you the one creating it? I really desire to code my own EA but I think I cannot be a programmer. Attempted to read books on MQL programming and want to learn as fast as I can but I failed. hehe

@pilTrader
This EA I got from my friend. He has some coding I guess because he need your account number. Only with this acc # it can be used. He developed this EA for years, try-and-error, lost few thousands and finally this is what we have.

More improvement can be made because for the time being, the lot size, T/P, pips etc is manually set. I was thinking to do auto calculation based on balance etc. But me no programmer to ... heheheh.

I learnd C++ before, hope it's similar. Unfortunately I just scored C- for this subject. If I knew I can make money from this subject, I should score A+ heheheh...
