I don't really know what I'm talking about yet so please bear with me. I am about to start part time study for a dual degree in AI Programming and Data Science, and I am currently considering what AI programming project I might engage in as a hobby while I study.
My first thought was to start a currency speculation project where I try out a range of genetic algorithms and generate a series of ANNs (Artificial Neural Networks) that forecast changes in the relative prices of a collection of currency pairs. It would no doubt be expensive, but I should be able to find a product that quantifies how much the expectations of upcoming news events have been priced into the market and then train ChatGPT to translate the actual news releases into weights that would allow my ANNs to call the price action on fundamentals.
That's one idea but I'm not married to it. I wouldn't be able to sustain my motivation if I was working on my own and I'm not qualified to lead a team. Does anyone have, or know of, an existing AI currency speculation project that I could contribute to while I study?
