So I propose that we should have a starting percentage count date...

As of now, most brokers offer both at the same time. Unless someone makes a bot to be used purely for the mt5 platform or some other kind of incentives being offered to the traders to trade on mt5, such as lower spreads or higher rebates per lot, else I doubt mt5 will overtake mt4 anytime soon.
