I think it would be nice to have the ability to upload a Strategy Tester report to show off the analysis. I understand that nothing beats forward testing, but backtesting analysis would be great too.
I think even a better idea would let Myfxbook analyze the backtesting results...that should be an awesome feature.
just add an icon or something to let others know it is a back test and not a forward test.
allanneagle, hope you don't mind me adding to your suggestion <img src='

If you guys implement this PLEASE only make it a instant analysis that isnt saved and doesnt show up in 'Systems'. Backtests are trash and really dont belong in the same room with forward tests. It would really cheapen the value of the site - I've got a ton of EA's that can backtest to +1 Billion but wont make a cent LIVE - Plus every Fantasy scalper would load the site up with backtests results.

I like the idea of having backtests excluded from systems and that could easily be done with a 'live/demo/backtest' setting. Only when setting t0 backtest would you get the ability to import the report and once it is a backtest then it can't be changed to anything else.

I think backtesting should be only as additional feature near the live results, that we can compare. Comparing how a strategy works in backtester and on real account will show some hidden information about the strategy. Also it would be nice to be able to compare both reports and graphic.
One more interesting thing would be to re-run backtesting after some time on the same time window when strategy is trading on real account. This way when we compare and see flaws of backtesting and the strategy itself.

Find your own strategy for trading and automate it
This could be a powerful feature if implemented right with the proper safeguard so they can never be set to anything but a 'Strategy test' type like others suggest. But should have all the features of MFB analysis and have the ability to compare to your live and demo acct data.
I am not sure but will this overload the MFB resource a bit more if everyone starts loading in all their strategy tests and analyzing them?
Shoot it could be a great storage bank for all my best Strategy tests that I can bring up fast for comparison to newer test / settings and live/demo data.
Thank you guys!!!
