Hi,

I'm Luca from Birt's discussion page on MDP.
What comment do you have for MDP? I'm not totally sure so I'm not able to calculate profit in pips. I don't know if you're up 100 pips or so.

I also checked the other EA you say you're using. I'm mostly interested in '6thsTrading'.
is it worth studying it?
You have big account increment, which one of the EA is most responsible for that? I guess you're trading with high risk.

I tested the grid EA and it wipes off the account according to the test.
:) Thanx.

Hi Luca,

There's no high risk involved in any of the EA's. You see a big move because of the starting amount since Jul-end being small and August was a good month in general (lucky me....).

I started with 6ths only and 98 Euro in my account on 25th of July. Played only 0.01 on 4 pairs. When I reached 200E then added GridmeUPFx (Enhanced) again with 0.01. It's weird you say it blows the account... how much was your lot size ?
MDP was added on th 25th of August but with only 0.02 in the beginning.

If you want to check for MDP orders only, make a filter from 25/8 onwards for EURUSD and exclude magic 28240133 which was from 'autofxmillionaire' a scam signal provider which I stopped immediately (almost....)

I enabled full information on my account so you can see my orders. The f*ck#d orders for EURJPY were placed by the autofxmillionaire scam...... causing the current DD + great headache ....

Today MDP also gave me losses....

Hi thanx for your reply.

I completely stopped MDP on MBTrading. And will be waiting to have a more reliable broker before investing some more into it. Hopefully Pepperstone when it'll move to the new facility in New Jersey as they say in their newsletter.

Amazing results in 2 months 6 times!!!
I was using the default settings, I guess Grid opens a 0.06 lots x US$ 10.000.
If you test it before 2009 it goes bankrupt. Since 2009 it runs quite smoothly... obviouly the lower the settings the less probability to hit the SL. I'm backtesting it right now and will keep on doing so until I get the point about how it works. Before I put money I want to understand. I also wrote to the developer and he already came back to me with a nice email.

I'm curious about 6ths. I already run a grid EA amongst others, but I'm curious to add more with the idea of keeping risk down and getting a more stable curve. Will study 6ths on the week end. The developer also has other Ea to look into.

I downloaded the statement and will look into it later, and even more in time. MDP is an amazing instrument but very fragile. Broker are really poor and often scams so it's hard to get the condition Birt's has. We need to create our own broker!!

:) thanx :)

Luca

I totally agree to all your points !!

Please don't get excited with progress, I've already blown my account 3 times (small amounts). The key here is consistence and I'm fighting to stabilize my performance.....

Because MDP is so fragile I try to collect enough information for understanding the best set-up and conditions to trade with. Today I was very disappointed with my loss but that's life. I want to insist and see if it can recover.

Don't expect any success when backtest is going through Aug-08, the best way to avoid such events is simply MM, nothing else.

Study 6ths, it's very interesting. Steve is damned good ea programmer.....

That's the latest hype in EAs... a machine gun which shots when high and sudden volatility happens by placing opposite orders. Very broker sensitive and not really stable. I have it under testing on my real account.

Guys

I've turned my settings for MDP.1.2 back to default as GoMarkets (after an upgrade they did) seems to fulfill all parameters for execution, requotes and slippage. I'm using group orders as well as this seems to be better some times.

Let's see how it goes from now on ....

No it's not and honestly I cannot suggest you to buy it.

As I have already mentioned in this thread I'm not really sure whether this thing can be stabilized although you will find a lot of positive references.
