Today is NFP news. Since this ea closes trades at the 15m time interval, what can happen if price goes down 100 pips? Now it has four open buys. Certainly it will close at loss bigger than average loss. Of course, the opposite price goes up will be good luck. Anyone comment on experience of open trades during major news?

I think you summarised it with your second last sentence......LUCK. IMHO that is not trading........it is gambling. Either close out the positions, or read up sufficiently to take a fundamental stance on the NFP this afternoon. Remember, this bot does not know that it is NFP and therefore this has not been accounted for in its trading decision.

I, personally, would be looking to get out of any trades, as I do not count on luck for my results.

On a fundamental POV, I would not go as far as shorting the USD, but I wouldn't count on continued climb. The NFP is expected to be good and this has already been priced into the USD. The chances that NFP is going to be much better than expected is unlikely but there is plenty of room for a downside shock. Bear in mind, my stance doesn't go about being correct about the USD, but it is about risk. To me the downside risk outweighs the upside.......

forex growth bot

this bot definitely needs a news filter to close any open trades in case there is an important high impact news which is likely to change the nature of the market dramatically for the currency pair it’s trading on.Otherwise you have to monitor it all the time and decide either to close the trades or not. On the other had if it is not trading at this moment i think it handles well the news as it waits a little before it gets in the market and decide the trend.Remember this is your hard earned money...not count on luck for gains as this is more like gambling..there are robots that have already incorporated a news avoidance algorithm like kangaroo ea that has (Proactive News Avoidance Algorithm (PNA). Also i would like also FGB to have a send mail option that uses mt4 to inform as by mail when it gets into trades so as not to monitor our screen all the time..

Hi Guys,

We are going to push fourth to release the signal copier this week and do setups for it manually until we can get the members area ready. This will allow people to get the benefit of no restart issues. It will also include a person monioring the trades and closing them out early and such if need be to catch profits early, (a human trailing stop). And up to date software ,settings, etc. Held on our servers. Duplicated results.

This is a multi - purpose solution, it solves the restart issue until we can fix it as we are having problems with it, it's not because the robot cant identify its own trades, it's becasue it can't determine when to close the trade after a restart.

Hi Fxgrowthbot,

Thanks for your reply.
I hope that you continue to work on fixing the actual ea as fast as possible.I personally hate signal copiers and I am sure a lot of people feel the same way. They just never work as well as the actual ea.

Thanks

i agree with star. no interest whatsoever in signal providers. Would rather just a solid EA.

And I agree with you also Icyhot,

Bringing out signal service does not make much sense to me.They will be spending a lot of hours getting it started, then there will be a lot of complaints from users that they will need to address.
This will become just a big frustrating waste of time.Instead they are better off spending all of their time fixing the ea.They may want to consult an outside programmer to help them solve this issue.
Every ea on the market does not have a problem with restart and I am sure another good programmer can help them solve it.

thank god i only have this running on demo accounts ... the past three weeks seem to be terrible ... i am running the basic program with the default settings. I am wondering if everyone is closing out the trades manually, because it seems to me at least lately that the EA buys at the top of a run and if you leave it, you run the risk of retracement (which almost always happens), and getting stopped out. Am I missing something? Do I need to upgrade or use different settings? I was really impressed with the comments on this EA, but now i'm not too sure.

Any input would be appreciated ... not too helpful over at FPA so I will try here.

Thanks.

For me, what happened with this mornings trades seems to be typical for me. Just wondering ...

Thanks again.

I can only speak for myself. Although it's been hard last couple of weeks, still insist that this bot works great in the long run.

My account has sustained winnings: we have to accept that loosing is a big part of the winning process en the market, so if you are expecting to find a bot with great income, and near zero losses, then keep on dreaming.

did anyone get a completely different trade series than this last set? I had 3 buys at 4012, 4021, and 4027 and all closed for a loss.

IcyHot,

i guess that the reason for the different trades is that your ea started to trade today or you has closed the trades from last week manually
i suggest to let the robot play and don't close trades manually

oh never mind.t hat is because i closed out the NFP trades. so i had no open trades before these. that explains it.

I had the same three, allclosed for losses and I have not been managing the trades manually, all have been automatic. I think that of the last 9 or 12 trades, only three the EA has closed out positively.

Thanks for the responses, good or bad, it's more than I was getting over there.

Thanks

I think this resumes everything.... not all trades will be winners, but in the average, you should be winning.

I have set a demo account on Alpari UK, started with USD 500, trading the bot agressively, 0,1 lots, and from 2 weeks know, running the Trailing Stop EA that kenny shared before, and right know the account is over 100% profit in less than a month.

This demo doesn't take the same trades as Thinkforex account, but still a winner, so even if you don't get the same trades, you should be profitable

hi pompealp

can you share with as what settings do you have at kennys trailing ea? Trades closed by trailing considered as manual closing? and then the fgb needs restarting?

thanks
Nick

So you are not running the basic edition .. which are you running and what are the settings ... should I make the upgrade?
