On the other hand, trades of 2.5 lots with $1000 deposit can easily lead to disaster...

well if you for some reason (Internet outage) cannot close 0.01 trade
you are not in a big troubles you can loose some money but not th e whole account
with trade the size of 2.5 lot 1 mistake is enough to zero whole account...

I can't believe you do not see the difference...
Anyway i wish you good luck with trading and no mistakes... ;)

Interesting discussion. I'll add my 2 cents: The 'most' you can lose is 'only' 100% of your capital dedicated to this account. On the other hand, you can gain hundreds (or thousands) per cent.

Any news when copier will be available and fee cost?
