This is an interesting discussion. I still have the 10 year backtest in my strategic history and while the EA in backtest never suffered six losing months in a row before there are plenty of times early on where it lost 3 months in a row and then not long after did so again. Analysing the backtest history for a period from 1999 - 2001 shows that the EA performed far worse overall than it has here. You can see a snapshot of this attached.

Whether the EA will ever perform again remains to be seen. The main question to ask is whether you are prepared to accept the chance of sideways movement for years at a time. I think the key thing to learn here is to take a good hard look at the backtest data you generate and ask whether you are happy with every period of trading history that the backtest shows you, if similar patterns where to occur again.

I for one have moved on from using this EA.

Best regards Steve

most of the EAs are like this ... many of are bullshits ..

this bot works based on volatility. EURUSD at its lowest volatility since released in 2000. check monthly volatility there free web pages or basicly apply ATR1 on weekly ckart.
EURUSD RIP => FGB RIP

Forex Growth Bot really went to the wayside. It's such a shame.

It is proposed to check my profile, drawdown of 5-6% can not be 90% ....

In my experience is better choose stability and consistent profits more than very volatile systems.

Darn, I was hoping that this EA would completely bite the dirt.

94% DD on April 28 was so very close falling off the ledge.

It looks like it was hanging on by a finger nail and now, over the last few months, it has managed to put on at least two more wobbly fingers.

finger = 10%

Ref DD tab: 94% DD (April28) to the current 73% DD (Nov19)

He risked with a manual MM to recover the loosing strikes..... Heart attack was not in place cause he put only 250 USD in the account!

Forex Growth was the first experimetal bot to show that trading wit EA is possible... But is too risky...
