Dale, there is a lively, ongoing discussion over at meetfx.com that covers this past session.

There is another productive discussion at https://www.donnaforex.com/forum/index.php?topic=1744.0

The simple version is that the market cooperated this week and gave us some really nice gaps! Harvester works exactly as it is designed.

Gallant FX has proven to be very good for the robot and we will continue using them.

Great Mark,
All closed with profit as you promissed😁.
But the gap this week was really HUGE. Last time not so often with forex market.
I wish I have such trading results each week.
Thank you.

Peet, glad to here you did well. Remember the market is ALWAYS right!

The gaps were large this week and we need to keep things in perspective.

One session like this makes up for many slow ones. We have said this all along.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Just a quick note to say that we had sent a warning prior to the last session NOT to trade due to extreme market volatility.

Most clients did not and we took our own advice!

That is why there were no trades this week.

That is correct. The operative word is 'test'. Ours is a live account, theirs is a demo.

We put out a warning last week not to trade. Those reviewers who are testing just keep trading regardless. There is nothing we can do about that.

Our results are real, verified and accurate. That is all that should matter, correct?

Thank you for your explanation.

What is exactly you saw last week that assure you that these week would be a no trade week?

Why you dont think in add a filter in your ea to prevent those periods with a high volatility to trade?

You are welcome! Thank you for your questions.

Two weeks ago, there was a perfect storm brewing because the DOW had dropped 1000 points before recovering, the Greece bailout was up in the air and the election in the UK was in chaos.

As it turns out, the Greece bailout package was announced over that weekend, which would have been bad timing for us and Harvester.

The EURUSD spiked up at market open and then collapsed.

We want to show our clients and observers that we are traders first and care about those who are using Harvester to trade with real money.

There is really no effective way to build in a filter for news events--at least not yet. We are working on it!

The huge drawdown caused by the sudden drop of Euro :o

Looks like we have to wait for the Euro crisis to settle down :(

Hello Mark,
4 months of hard work of Harvester went to trash in one day...
Any comments to this situation?
Any actions?

Hello Peet. These are the realities of trading. Now we rebuild!

The market is very unstable and prone to erratic movement right now.

We are already working on some possible adjustments and an update will go out later in the week.

We aren't going anywhere and will be here to support our clients through thick and thin.

Yes, the market is very unstable right now. All we can do is stay in the game and rebuild.

It seems that is the same history for all those eas that have a such a bad R/R... it comes the time that all the profit and eventual some more go away. So the steady early gains is usual just an illusion.

Mark, in analysing all the trades to date that have been profitable, are you able to determine whether or not a larger TP would have led to 1. better RR and 2. more profits to date that would have reduced the current DD? It seems to me gaps either close or they don't; trading right into the close rather than grabbing 1-15 pips seems on the surface to provide more stability. I am sure you tested all variables so interested to hear your thoughts on this.
Onwards and upwards.

No illusion at all. Our robot is different because it is based on a real trading strategy.

We are in very unstable times, so we must adapt and adapt we will.

Most other EA promoters leave their clients in the dark and are nowhere to be found when there are losses. We are here to support our clients and make the necessary changes and improvements to our product over time.

We are looking at one year intervals to determine the level of success of our product and are confident we will have a healthy net gain during that time.

Thank you for the thoughtful post.

You are correct. We have tried a myriad of settings and the defaults still seem to work best. The market is in uncharted territory right now, so we must adapt and continue to stay in the game.

We are already working on some changes and improvements to the robot. The difference is we are here and are not hiding.

Now we rebuild.

Good question comes after so unstable results.
Will we be in loss for 2010 year.
More or less 3 months left and to cover 21% loss will be hard for harvester in passive mode.
I still believe in this system but getting more and more nurvous after each bad Monday.
I'm as well in big loss today as I have started later rhan Januray with Harvetser.

This account has been liquidated due to the new regulations in the US.

Version 20 will be available soon and we will start a new live account running it when it is released.

Managed Harvester will be run on a separate account as well.

The StopLoss used by this system is insane, results shown here coincide with backtests.

What is your point in posting here? The SL is appropriate for this strategy. This account was stopped by the broker because it was a US account, as I pointed out above.

Back tests are simply a guide of what happened in the PAST.

We have clients whose accounts are up varying amounts from 35% to over 100% since we launched last January.

It is very common for systems that use grids as part of the strategy to have high SL's. Harvester also has a very high win rate of over 90%.

In any case, version 2.0 is a completely re-engineered robot with improved risk/reward.

One important note is that NOT ONE person trading Harvester live has blown an account while using the robot. How many other EA's can make that claim?

What you post here is just words. I have the facts to back up my statements.
