Your gain was 800% plus but after substantial losses it came down to only 87% .

Please look under the help section, where it states the absolute p/l measures the dollar profit, without taking into account the time line of the deposits or withdrawals.

Please do not misguide the others.

Your equity is market private and so is deposit, thus how do we determine what the return on capital was?

By the calculation made by myfxbook.com.

Cumulative return is the total return on capital, taking into consideration of the timeline of deposit/withdrawal.

While absolute return is total pnl/(deposit-withdrawal), without taking into consideration of the timeline.
