Another question to Jared. The KeltnerPro manual says:

'MaxOpenOrders- This is the maximum number of trades that will be open at one time per
Chart. No new trades will be open by the version in question if this number is met.
If you have multiple charts open, each chart will be allowed to open 3 simultaneous trades.'

I have three open charts: EURUSD, AUDUSD, and GBPUSD. I would like the bot to open a max of 4 orders on EURUSD and a max of 3 orders on AUDUSD and GBPUSD each. Do I set MaxOpenOrders for EURUSD to 4 and for AUDUSD and GBPUSD to 3 while leaving the magic number the same for all three charts? Or should the magic numbers be different for each chart?

Jared, if I choose to have a different max number of trades per chart, do the magic numbers for each chart have to be different or the same?

All of the charts work independently of each other, so you can leave the magic number the same and you won't run into any issues.

Thanks for your response, Jared. Why don't you run KeltnerPro on EURUSD with MaxOpenOrders=5? My tick data backtest drawdown with this value since 01.01.2010 until present is the same as with the default MaxOpenOrders=3, yet the profit is much bigger and the profit factor is higher.

If that is curve fitting, then I can't reasonably expect the same win-loss ratio of roughly 50/50 for this EA in the future?

Keltnerpro was never curve fitted. The results you have seen the past year were not the result of optimizations, but more the result of an effective strategy.

Why don't you then run it on EURUSD with MaxOpenOrders=5 which shows almost the same drawdown as with MaxOpenOrders=3 yet far higher profits and profit factor?

I'd wait till the vendor explains why he doesn't do it himself.

I haven´t been looking in Jareds chart for a while, because for me there is no profit since october 2014, so it´s boring. But today i saw a big jump up form 6th march to 7th march....
In my account there was nothing. Did anybody have this jump?

Makes me wonder why Jared himself keeps them set to 'false'.

On another note, ActivTrades has rather high spreads. Far higher than Jared's broker SynergyFX or mine - Tickmill.

Hey Jared... Could you please replay to the latest questions/doubts directed towards you?... Like: 'I'd wait till the vendor explains why he doesn't do it himself', 'makes me wonder why Jared himself keeps them set to false', etc...
Patience, focus and self-control to win the game with diligence.
