Insta always requote and high spread. Try IBFX au, is STP, no requote.

If you are going to use IBFX AU you might as well use gmfx.com.au - they are a WL of IBFX that gives you a 1/2 pip spread reduction. So their spreads on the EU are often 1.2 pips.

Hi all,

I am filing formal complaint to ASIC regarding Pepperstone illegal practice.

Pepperstone disconnected my MT4 terminal at CNS VPS and my MT4 terminal at home, when the EURUSD was spiking. Server time was 09:16 and CNS local time was 23:16. The VPS is located in New York. My computer is located in Indonesia. Both disconnected at the same time during spike. I guess they disconnected all MDP users to keep them from profiting.

If you are Pepperstone client, please check MT4 journal and verify if you are disconnected at the same time. If you are using CNS, check if the journal says it is login at 23:18 dated 11.10.2011. Make a screenshot and then let's file complain here: https://www.asic.gov.au/asic/asic.nsf/byheadline/Complaining+about+companies+or+people?openDocument#prices

I'm sure more than one complaint will get ASIC's attention and let's hope they will get these jerk stripped off !

Yep IBFX AU is exactly the same as IBFX USA the only difference is the leverage you can get.

And again.....MDP missed trades due to the spread being ever so slightly too wide. I am not talking about 1 pip of 0.5 pip. It was 0.1 or 0.2 pips too wide. The creators NEED to put in a setting so that we can adjust the spread we are willing to accept. I could have added another 20-40 pips today if MDP would have accepted 2.1 pip spreads. Freaking annoying.

I am not sure, but can an AFSL pending status be a forex broker in AU?

Pepperstone is an authorized rep of CDM pacific - https://www.search.asic.gov.au/cgi-bin/gfs010c?origin=flb&licence_no=223682&role_type=FL&cond_sdate=&cond_stime=&rep_no=389931&a7=&a8=&a9=&a10=&a11=&a12=&a13=&start_date=20101201

looks like from Jacky Lees link that they have applied for their own ASIC licence hence the pending status.

There are a couple of things to consider - was it actually pepperstone's fault or was it other external factors.

Also, complaining directly to ASIC is pointless, Pepperstone will have their own complaints process that you will need to follow in order to get some traction. Their process is found here:https://pepperstone.com/legal/PepperstoneFSG.pdf

Complain to the company, be specific - say that it is a written formal complaint and what you expect pepperstone to do about it.
Then you need to give them 14 days - If they dont reply in that time, or you do not like their reply then you need to complain To FOS - the financial ombudsmen service. You will also need to complain to CDM pacific as they are the licence holder as well. When making the complaint to FOS you need to the complaint to be against CDM pacific as they are the licence holder: CDM Pacific is a member of the FOS complaints resolution scheme and its membership number is

I wonder if they are experimenting with widening the spread. That is about the only way they would have triggered any trades this morning.
