Heres a letter from the author of MDP: I thought I would share it. Garry

Hi Garry,

Thanks for being a loyal MDP customer.

Some people have been spreading false rumors
and some people have just been worried in general
about MDP continue to work forever.

First, I would like to establish that there is plenty of
life left in MDP. The strategy still works and we are
constantly monitoring it.

The execution times.. stop worrying so much about it.
A good VPS and good broker is important. There
are people doing well with 2000 m/s .. it's good to try
to lower it, but don't think this is the main
cause for disaster.

Also, MDP will NOT win all the time like any other
strategy, it will have losing days / weeks.

This week / last week has been a little slow, but this
is because we have flat markets and we are
approaching holidays. This causes less trade opportunity
especially for what MDP is looking for.

So just because it's going slow right now, does not mean
the robot is failing. It means the market conditions are
not right. And we need to be patient. Some market
news may help. As spikes and volatility can help, but
as we approach holidays markets may be flatter.

Please pass this to others.

Thanks for your support!

This would be entirely due to your broker. MDP has absolutely nothing to do with this problem. I am going to have to second MistiFX in saying that you need to find a new broker.

@crashev: has Pepperstone gotten any better with trade execution now? Last time I tried MDP there it was over 4 seconds to open a trade!

comments by broker :
reduce latency. While this has given our clients access to extremely fast execution in the real market we have found that MDP modifies an order on a regular basis which congests order flow together with the fact that MT4 was never designed as a low latency trading platform - it is compiled in .NET and it runs on the windows operating system which all slow it down

Which broker is commenting that? It´s not .NET compiled, bullshit. Look at the code and external calls, nothing from .NET is refered there.

I think IBFX Au is better coz withdraw is only $2.75(non-US) thru debit card (even bank wire withdraw is only $25) and may consider to match the ibfx platform with their own VDI. Im using MDP in my real account already, so far it works. Hope it's help.
