LoiBio, I think your going to need a faster trade time. You really need less than 500ms to be in the profits. Is your 620ms on a server or home pc? Home PC's seems fast, but they have lots of lag time that a server will not have. If you dont see it now, you will over time. I have been there and done that...

Demo test page will pass 2 million any time now. I know this is demo, but when it trades, normally my live accounts also trade. Garry

trading like what?
you can change a setting and get a negative result again... or you can keep the current one you have and go back in profit...
do not try to change on 1 lost only. if you get 3-4 concecutive lost, while other demo/real account go in profit, than change the settings.

actually the demo was positivie like I was (with only 1 trade open). professor53 was negative today with multiple trades...
but sometimes its the opposite.

MDP will not win all the time. If you have had profitable settings, then let it ride.
Make losses, but always come out a winner at the end.

If you have been profitable with those settings, then i would not mess with anything.

I'd like to know about how much growth in % of your initial capital you guys are able to generate using MDP in 1 month?
I also know that the different settings will affect the performance but i heard some people close to 80% even 100% a month growth ^^

Generally, the people that gained that much in a month were either referring to the good months in the middle of 2011, or they had the risk level jacked up. Or it was on a demo account.

I would venture to say, they are inexperienced traders. Using 5% risk with MDP is asking to have your account equity stripped away from you. There are people on this forum that can vouch that, even using a 2% risk, MDP can lose nearly half the account in a single trade set. Using 5% risk opens them to the very real possibility of losing 60%-90% of their account in a few seconds. They are effectively gambling at this point.

Main thing to pay attention to is the slippage, and the blocking of order modification. As long as you have a low slippage, and you broker isn't trying to keep MDP form making the necessary modifications, you should be okay with it.

Yes exactly. Well the broker and VPS latency is also very important i heard.. are you performing well with MDP and are you satisfied by the performance on a monthly basis?

To be totally honest, the VPS latency is not terribly important. The important thing to to have a broker who is a market maker but won't screw you over.
