Ok, so is there a real money account yet?? I am tired of the old 'here's the results (demo), buy the product and you will get the same on REAL money' BS!

I am using IAMFX, with GPS forex and Nighthawk, but so far although I am never really losing trades, I am not really making much either. At least they are working where FAPturbo had not.

Tell me if you have a real money account (esp. IAMFX) so I can see your actual real results.

A little secret.... dont tell.

ON your chart, On the ECN liine, if you have 4 or 5 lines of ECN comments then you will trade very well and at good speed. If only 2 or 3 ECN comments then your trades will be less because the speed is to high for the MDP prg to be comfortable to scalp with. You can limit a few bad trades by... dropping slip from a default of 3 down to 2 or even 1. Its barely noticible. A few less trades and a bit more profit. secret number 4, dont tell... close the mt4 platform and relog in... and check your speeds. If your lucky you will connnect to a new broker link with a bit faster or slower speed. ater 4 or 5 of these attempts, I clear that MT4 platform and reload it from scratch and then reload to broker until my times improve or I get a ms speed I can live with. THEN, dont disconnect ever......... ( its just my hypothesis that this works)
sincerely

finally had a good day after 3 terrible days. Made a few changes to my settings. 1. set group orders to true. 2 set slip to 0.
3. set channels to 3 and simultaneous orders to 3. Click on my name and view the trades.

Good stuff mate! thanks..

I think you're benefiting from the Grouping. Setting the slip to 0 is risky in my opinion. I'm not too sure what channels do but I believe more channels the better it is??? Sim order keeping it to a minimum is a more risk aversive move..

Would changing funky exit to false help? or should I keep it set to true?

I haven't tested. But I believe this would delay your exit... meaning, setting deeper SL??? I'm not sure.

MDP has been on my mind for the past week. Mostly about HFT and the concepts behind it. If you've read my other posts in this thread then you probably know the direction that I am heading.

Today, I took the time to examine the last 3 trades (grouped trades = different times) to see if I can detect the logic behind this server overloader and I actually may be on to something.

I've built an indicator with similar setting as the MDP back test with of course my own variation and I just had my first signal a few minutes ago on EURUSD - you can see for yourself on live account here -

https://www.myfxbook.com/members/pipinvestment99/risk-capital-investors-fund/124751

I could have entered several more positions, but 3 was a good test. All profitable. Manual entry, manual exit, adjusted stoploss manually etc. Hence the duration isn't as swift as MDP, but its the concept now, and High Frequency later.

Over the weekend I'll build the logic into an EA and see if it backtests.

If anyone has Tickdata, on EURUSD already compiled , sifted out the holes, and is willing to share the hst. file please contact me. It doesn't need to be 2001-current. I'm just looking for a solid years worth with High quality tick data complied and ready to drop in the MT4 History folder =)

So just to clarify, the newer version won't open a trade if the the spread is greater than 2??

I think we should all collaborate by sharing our MDP analysis.

Please include your details in the '' attached Excel spread sheet'' the next time you post here ( just attach the spread after your update by clicking on the paperclip. First time may not work so try again=)

By doing so, we can find suitable brokers for MDP and other HFT systems.

Feel free to add columns as needed.

Of course there will be members updating and adding their spread sheet without the latest Copy. This is fine. We can easily merge the data into a NEW master weekly from all the participates.

Best luck on grabbing those pips.

Basic settings..

Go to the thinkforex metatrader 4 program folder and go to the experts folder, go to Libraries and delete the MPD DLL file there. Re-install it and it should work then.

For this you'd probably be better using google docs or something, create a public spreadsheet.
Also I doubt many people would want to share their results if they find something profitable, otherwise hordes of ppl will come and flood the servers with many transactions and likely impact the results.

I'm not concerned with performance figures like your profit amount, but these stats above. It is interesting to see how the brokers are handling these orders (as this is the main reason why this bot is not consistent).

Basically by doing this study, we should be able to determine what brokers have a stable environment for HFT. Some brokers refuse to address these issues while some are improving their infrastructure. This is the first retail HFT, but its not the last. I'm not sure if MDP will last much longer, but if it does, it will be because of a broker catering these types of strategies. I am sure an honest ECN broker will encourage HFT and build a solid infrastructure for millions of traders. Why not? isn't HFT the building block for liquidity in the real world?

Google Docs does sound like a good idea, but how can we share it? maybe someone can get it going so users can insert their stats.

thanks again!

Hi,
I have MDP 1.2 set on MBTrading MT4 now but I get follow message. Is it an issue could prevent MDP from trading or just a waring can be ignored? Also I have $500 in MT4 account and MBTrading can not set the lot as low as 0.01 so I change the min/max lot in MDP 1.2 to 0.1 and Risk set 1. Hope the EA can trade based on that balance and setting.
Thanks.
