Not pretty. this is the first time that stop losses were hit for me. Usually funky exit takes me out of trade well before stops are hit. These things happen. Still up over 100% on account.

A move like this happened about 5 weeks ago when i first started. My account was taken from +5% to - 5% in a few minutes. . . . within 3 weeks the account was up to (and still is over 100%), so we battle on.

that happened fast, but thankfully no full losses were taken, manageable. let's wait for a better trade.

It was a very bad trade day. There was an entry trigger and an immediate massive continuation spike following the order entries. No way to avoid. I know. I was watching it waiting to close out bad positions. It happened so fast I couldn't even react to it. I am down 6%

strange cause I had 1 x 10.8 pip los and 8 winning trades of 20.2 pips... resulting in 9.4 pips posetive... guess in scalping every factor has an impact...

@RiffRaff & Loo Soon Hui: that is very strange since you both are using IBFX! Though for Loo Soon Hui the timings are bad, which is uncommon for IBFX, I guess you have a huge ping time to the IBFX server?

RiffRaff, what version are you running and what settings do you use? Do you run it from a VPS and what is your ping to IBFX?

Really strange to see such a massive difference on the same broker.

Yea, it would be interesting to know if FIFO is on and how much Sim Orders and how much Additional Channels?

Is there anyone knows about the 'additional channels' setting? It write's that it will safely increase the trading frequency. Is it really 'safely' increase? Because in these kind of situations there's too many orders open and close very quick and the loss could be very high. When it's winning i see that it's not very important to make it high (8). But when loosing : the loss could be very big...

If anyone can make a legitimate comment about that setting, i'll be glad...

is 250ms your latency, or the MDP speed??? If it is your latency, you need to find a new VPS because that is terrible. If it is your MDP speed, that is the fastest time I have seen anywhere.

It is pretty well everyone. There are a few winners today, but today's price action was just bad for MDP.

I wonder how this guy who posted a screenshot won if even the reference demo account lost? ;D
The only thing that comes to mind - very unnatural price feed, slow and no spikey, that saved him from washing out. This is good, but also means an artificial feed and a bucket shop, prone to start making life hard once he moves onto higher lots. Oanda did it to me, Alpari did it to me, although Alpari has pretty fast feed.

I have a theory about it. The speed for MDP in that account will be around 500ms. Therefore, it will have missed some of the trades. By random chance, the trades that were missed just happened to be the majority of the losing trades.
