So far, REP Live results show less drawdown and more profit than Original Rev but systems can experience losses on same days.
Image with 5 Pairs as RevTraderPro. His account at loss since Jan 2015 ( This Year -0.69% ) ,
RevEnginePro up 11% on same pairs. 😀

REV, holding 3 AUDUSD shorts, REP REAL closed AUDUSD Sell already at BE+1 and Entered its 3rd Trade == Less drawdown. Also did not enter Sell on NZDUSD because of optimized set, while this account did with Universal set. Lets see what does better.

Your broker preventing Expert Advisor from trading. ERR_TRADE_DISABLED - https://docs.mql4.com/constants/errorswarnings/errorcodes #133

EA will retry many times until Order is placed. I see EA did enter order finally.

I recommend any broker that also offers cTrader platform with mT4. Such as icMarkets, FXpro, TradersWay, RoboForex, FXpig, PepperStone,

Buy here - https://redrhinofx.com/product/revenginepro-majors/ - You can trade all 20+ pairs with this EA.

Slippage setting need to be adjusted higher again. I see 1 Partial Close today close 0.90 + 0.10 = 1.0 Original Lot.
1.38% Gain today!

I am testing and building another Universal setfile that would be used as a recovery tool. The stoploss can be too tight in trend reversals as we're experiencing now, EURUSD was down trend for more than 1 year and now we have first sign of support with higher lows. When the markets change direction, I would like have alternative setfile to manage the system differently when 3-4 trades have already been entered.

Universal setfile and Optimized Majors all include 'CloseOnOpposite' This is a great tool for cutting the losses at a better value then hitting the Peak Stoploss,

However, I will try something different with CloseOnOpposite = false and larger Stoploss in Recovery Setfile.

Did you up the default setting to 5 NZDUSD trades and increase the lot size to get through the NZDUSD rough patch.

although i will probably turn it off if there is another imminent reversal, it would be good to know for future reference if i get into the same problem, and how to possibly get out of it.

p.s a recovery setfile tool sounds good.

Yes. I also turned off CloseOnOpposite ( false ) to prevent premature loss. I am going to hardcode a recovery setfile into EA, then I make announcement or any user can simply change 'CurrencyPair' to the word 'recovery' and the EA will load the settings internally. I will hardcode the universal setfile internally , then we can simply type in 'universal' into the CurrencyPair parameter.

It will make life easier.

ok. luckily the US data points on the 26th came out better than expected, luck was on our side.

I am not sure i could enter more sell trades on the NZDUSD, on my real account, and pray that the data comes out in my favour, obviously too risky.

You mentioned in past post that the optimised NZDUSD didn't open more sells, but the universal setfile did. (I am using the universal setfile at the moment)

can you elaborate why the optimised set didn't? (if this has safety features it would be good to know)

also, does CloseOnOpposite =false / close the trade at better price than the Stoploss?

CloseOneOpposite will wait for the price to reach the other side of indicator before closing trade ( either profit or loss ). If reaches otherside within 24 hours, it is always winner but after several days the indicators value will change and we can potentially get a loss. This loss is much smaller than the MAX Stoploss values and therefore we close the trade at a better price.

Setfiles do not include a specific # of trades that it can open. You choose. It can be adjusted at any time. This value is not hardcoded. Only values below the 'Don'tTouch' parameter are hardcoded.

@fallenleaf012 - thank you for the interest, but its not available. I can't determine when it will be available or how much it will cost. I may offer for free for some beta testers at Tradersway first and see how it evolves.

How to get an official update? It will be displayed in the RedRhinoLab's Feed - https://www.myfxbook.com/members/RedRhinoLab - You can get instant email notice by opting in. A cool feature from myfxbook for updates!

Enjoy the weekend!

ok great. useful to know.

I see, did you keep the same default values in the optimised set (Revenginepro majors), or did you lower the amount of trades, to ride the NZDUSD rough patch?

I've finished this today, testing now. @fxdad I'll need to test for a few days more. I've added a lot of features and I need to make sure everything is 100% correct before moving forward. I'm in no rush because current version works. I understand that some users need to change their license numbers.
