First set of trades today. Both MDP and Thor traded. As I told everyone previously, MDP and Thor WILL interfere with each other sometimes. Today would have been one of those days. The first trades taken would have been in the other's way. Although....as i also pointed out....Thor had trades taken later and MDP was silent. Only Core #1 had any trades. And as Alexander pointed out, core#1 is the riskiest of the 3.

So....today's comparison....my MDP acc had +14.7 pips, and Thor had +4.2 pips. So, a win all around.

Don't be too concerned about the demo account. If you want to see the performance, watch my account. It is a live account, so you will be able to see real world performance.

Thank you for posting your account, but this is supposed to be the vendor's official account, yet he's not running the EA?

It's a demo account and this is a hardcore scalper. You cannot rely on the results of a demo account anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Nope. The vendor does not run Thor on a real money (live) account.

It's a demo account and since it seems Thor needs to open and close trades really fast, a demo account is therefore not indicative for performance on real money account.

Moreover, seems his demo is not even updating. Not sure what's going on.

Caveat emptor.

Seems that they stopped updating the demo account when everyone started asking for a real money account. Maybe they are setting up a live account to take its place. This, of course is pure speculation.

Alexander said that he was in the process of opening up a live account on one of the forums I participate in. However, I thought Thor had been tested on a live account since January of this year, so I'm not sure why he would have to 'set up' a live account. Maybe he meant that he was setting up a Myfxbook account for his live forex account, which should only take a few minutes. Who knows? 😕

what do you mean by this. Both EA's CAN make trades in the same direction almost at near same times?

lol I read this on https://forexrobotnation.com/forex-thor/ --- ''Visit the website , scroll down to the second statement then hover and keep your mouse over the Ticket no of any trade, the trade comment says MDP 1.2.0''

I'm sure its already discussed on this forum. funny stuff.

I mean that, even though they are using different logic, they do not necessarily trade together OR apart from each other. If the core logic was the same as MDP, they would ALWAYS trade together, or at least close. Today, core #1, which is the logic everyone was suspecting to be a MDP rip-off took some trades that MDP would never initiate. Therefore, it cannot be the same logic.

fughe: if Your MDP would be set to NO=1, MDP would take the second trade as well - when Thor issued Buy Trade. So it is still a thin line between them.

Also Thor claims to trade on Market2Level data and Market Depth, as far as I know MT4 has no info about Market Depth. Currenex paltform has this. So it is interesting how it could trade on this data if it's not possible to have it in MT4.

I doubt Thor can get this from outer source, as it would create delays and latency and would not be good for trading and could be too slow.

No, using L2 would not be possible without specialized software. I previously discussed how it could be synthesized from tick data and price action though.

Yes, as far as I'm concern, they're both using the same 'logic', which is fading the spike. The size of the spike which they trade on may be different, due to different volatility settings, etc., but at the end of the day they are doing the same thing, sometimes at the same times, sometimes at different times. This may not be a cracked version of MDP, but he sure got the idea from MDP.

On thing is for sure, the spiritual father of Thor is MDP. The L2 was a sales gimmick. The creator should rename this baby to Pinocchio😝

Well, in that case, you may as well say all EAs are the same. They all open orders and close orders and use a logic. You are missing the point about the logic. MDP and Thor are both hardcore scalpers. They don't use the same logic to initiate the trades. Spend some time studying the trades taken. Plot them on a 1 minute chart like I have. You will start seeing the differences. I don't say this stuff lightly. I was convinced that it was an MDP rip-off at first. Now that I have seen thousands of trades, and compared it to MDP, and seen live trades, etc....I can say with a great deal of certainty that Thor is using a different logic than MDP.

As far as the claim of using L2 data, that is obviously not how it does it's trades. We all know it would require specialized software to do this and it would only work on some brokers. Plus, it was a description of how it triggers trades....not a detailed description about how the system actually works. All I know is, it doesn't take the same trades based on the same logic as MDP. If it was, it would not be capable of opening trades that the MDP logic cannot trigger.

They are both super scalpers. If you choose not to believe that one or the other works until it has built up a lengthy track record in a live account, then watch my live account. it will be running for at least close to the 90 days of the guarantee period. Beyond that depends on whether or not it is profitable. 😁

Oh yeah....here is one other bit of info that would potentially interfere with MDP that I just found out. This may be useful to anyone currently running Thor. Under the 'options-charts' menu in mt4, you can set the bar # history and bar# allowed in chart safely to 20. Thor does not need anything longer than 20 bars back. This info came in response to a question i asked the developer.

Oh yeah, one other quick note. I have also informed the developer that Thor has a memory leak. Watch your VPS close and restart the mt4 every now and then to keep it from locking up your VPS.

What broker are you trading this on fughe? I understand that MDP wreaked havoc at Hotforex.
