I will have to agree with previous posts about the cheap EA's. I started trading Fx about 7 months ago and was lured by the promise of fast and easy money(recently Laid Off) if you just buy this EA. Well..., I bought several (Hey...if 1 is great then several must be unbeatable) Mega-Droid, Forex Auto Pilot, Forex Maestro, and a couple free ones from the MT4 website. I made a little money, about 5k in 3 months...but I lost about 15K if you add up the account blowouts and losses. They work fine for a week or 2 and then they'll get you in on the wrong side of a trade and you're history. The stress of having to look at huge floating orders and praying you dont have a Margin Call was not at all fun.
Finally I woke up and decided that if I was going to try my hand at Forex Trading, then I needed to LEARN Forex Trading. I started reading everything I could Google and taking the free Webinars offered by several websites and running Demo Accts. with the various trading styles and indicators. I found a Chart system that I liked, found an expert in in the system and paid him for 1 on 1 classes. That was the best money I ever spent. I started trading again live last month and have doubled my account simply by learning a little about the game and not trying to make a fast buck without putting a little effort in. I am by no means an expert and still make some dumb trades, but I am consistantly winning more trades and I FEEL so much better about it. It's fun again, and such a great feeling to close a winning trade that you know YOU picked the moment to get in and out of.
I guess what it all boils down to is good Ole Grandpaw's words of wisdom: Aint nuthin free, If ya want it, ya got to work for it. So, Save your money, or better yet find someone to give that money to that will TEACH YOU TO TRADE. It'll be worth it in the end.

well said rfe3!

there's no free rides in this world.. if someone selling an ea for couple of hundred of dollars, there's a reason to it - you can't make money with the ea. i don't think there's even one ea that you can buy for $100 and it will make money in the long run...

Very True!! There are EA's that work long term if the strategy is correct but they're not available from Clickbank!! Most of these are only available via Managed Accounts and even if they sell it the price is usually 50k+ or more!! The best robot strategies are unique to automation - they arent just manual strategies programmed they exploit technical aspects that a 24/5 robot can take advantage of.

really enjoyed the discussion here :-)

Why in heavens name would some leave a robot to trade on your money. See this logic, you used your natural mind to make money , then you are so willing to let a robot - trade for you :-D I think we get our priorities wrong...

this is the best robot - your brain - you can beat the market or at least take advantage of it :-)

Soon we will be leaving our children to robots and even looking to robots for love - what a wonderful way to delegate our responsibilities...

My Point is - You as an individual are competent enough - be passionate, be willing to learn, nothing comes easy...

I admire the work ethic of the Japanese, Koreans and the Far east fellaz, they know what it means to pay the price to master something...No instant gratification

can the pursuit of wealth be automated?

I cant handle the emotions of trading so I taught the rules of my approach to my robot the wont hesitate to execute them. My robot make MORE money than I can because it executes the plan without fail 100% of the time. I know that manual trading is the MOST profitable approach but everyone isnt cut out to trade manually (I'm not!) - Its still human logic but takes advantage of robot 24/5 monitoring and fearless execution. It took me years to learn a profitable trading strategy so there no getting around the learning requirement but once cracked whats the issue with implementing that knowledge by automation?

My first 3 years I traded manually day in , day out til i was near a nervous break down. In this time i learned a lot and lost some small accounts😉
Since trading with robots no more sleepless nights and always in good profit.
These first 3 years are the basic for my success, but i would never again trigger a trade manually, that's for sure. Looking back, the only what i can say is: the learning process was a nightmare, but worth every hour and every dollar I ve spend to reach the goal.
May the pips always be with us !

I agree with Fulltime247, I am greedy and I can not tr ade manually,I tried, but, the greed beat me.So, I got my system and made it into a Robot, now, my account is going back to what is was. the demo is a 73%, so, yes, the robot works for me, 'he' aint greedy, 'he' is not afraid, plus, I get to SLEEP!!!!!.

I love the fact that we all have different opinions, but, again, that what this is all about, learning from one another.

Human mind is fickle. Robot Rocks ! It has been proven time and again .. for consistent risk management and disciplined trading automation is the only way - imho.

p.s. oh yes .. a good robot never sells, avoid the ebay ones .. 😲
