French Industrial Output Falls Most In 3 Months
France's industrial production declined at the fastest pace in three months in July on sharp contractions in production of transport equipment and machinery, signaling a weak start to the third quarter after Prime Minister François Bayrou lost a confidence vote in the Parliament this week. German Industrial Output Rebounds; Exports Fall
Germany's industrial output expanded for the first time in four months in July, while exports declined on weaker demand from the United States and China. Industrial production rose 1.3 percent month-on-month in July, data from Destatis showed Monday. Eurozone GDP Growth Confirmed At 0.1%
The eurozone economy registered a marginal growth in the second quarter, as initially estimated, as growth in consumption was partially offset the decline in investment, official data showed Friday. In the revised report, Eurostat confirmed that gross domestic product grew 0.1 percent sequentially, after rising 0.6 percent in the first quarter.
