I just received email that purports to be from Signal Start. It says (in part): Please note we've updated our payment system. Please update your credit card information on our website promptly to avoid any service interruption. [end of email] Is this a legitimate email from Signal Start, or has someone taken over your email and website, and are they now trying to steal users' credit card information?

Lion, another signal I am following, closed two EUR/USD trades at huge losses on 30 Sept. So two signals which usually do very well, Maximus and Lion, all of a sudden have had uncharacteristic losses, and Frero, which usually does very well, has an uncharacteristic drawdown. Makes me think again that the market is in a period (hopefully brief) when the strategies that usually work are not working. I recall a reference to a writer on stock trading who said that every strategy, even a very good one, will have periods when it does not work. That does not mean it is not a good strategy. I am continuing to follow all three signals, and I plan to join Wassel’s MAM once all open trades are closed.

I wonder if the market is somehow behaving differently than usual. Another Signal on Signal Start, Maximus, just had its first losing trade. This came after 59 straight wins. Like Frero, Maximus had bought EUR/USD.

New development: As EUR/USD has dropped lower and lower, I have wondered if Wassel might deviate from his usual practice of not hedging, and I see that, in fact, he did on two SELL trades opened yesterday and closed today at a profit. We even made a few dollars from the swap for a change. Looking back, I now see that he also had a sell trade opened and closed on the 16th.

Now DD is at 39.9%. I'd like to breathe a sigh of relief, but I get the sense that it will be a while before the price clearly goes in one direction or the other. As Wassel says, we have to be "patient", but that's hard.

@Taicun, can you see the future? Amazing! According to Signal Start, drawdown is now at 37%. I can live with that. It is easy for me to say now, looking back, that I wish Wassel had closed all the trades that were open a few weeks ago when he could have done that with a small profit. But I don't know the rules of his system. For now, I am continuing to follow his signal and hope things turn around. FWIW another signal I follow bought EUR/USD several hours ago, so Wassel isn't the only trader who expects the price to rise again. Have you closed your own positions?

This particular signal has become very expensive, because Wassel2017 now prefers people subscribe through a MAM. You can send him a private message through this site (not through Signal Start) and ask him about the MAM. If you subscribe through a MAM, his fee is automatically deducted from your trading account.

Go to signalstart.com and learn how that service works. Some signal providers suggest a minimum amount for their signal. You have to look at how much you might earn based on your investment and compare it to the cost of the subscription. Signal Start charges $25/month per account in addition to the charge for the subcription to the signal. I pay by credit card. The Signal Start site has information as to whether there are other options to pay.

Fabulous trading! I'm glad I wasn't the one having to decide when to take profit on all those trades.

Thanks from me, too.

@ginko33, Thanks for explaining how to find the place to specify fixed lots. However, for myself I prefer to just set the multiplier. That way, as my account grows, Signal Start will automatically increase the size of trades, keeping the same proportion to my balance. If I set fixed lots, I will have to change that value manually each time my balance has grown significantly. I have used this approach (just setting the multilplier) for another signal I have followed for several months. Another advantage is that when I withdrew funds, the volume of each new trade automatically decreased by the same percentage decrease in my balance as a result of my withdrawal.

I believe that if you set the multiplier to 1.0, the volume of trades opened in your account will be the same percentage of your total balance as for Wassel's account. I am not sure if the signal looks at the balance (reflecting only closed trades) or equity (balance less floating P/L).

Go to My Account > [account name] > Manage. Scroll down to Subscribed Signals. Set the multiplier for Frero.
