A temporary indicator of the evolution of the economy, the Monthly Economic Activity Estimator (EMAE) is used in Argentina. Using weights from the national accounts, it is calculated by aggregating the added value at basic prices of each economic activity, as well as the net taxes on subsidies to the items.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the ARS while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the ARS.
