Argentina has the third-largest economy in Latin America. The services sector is the most important, accounting for 64% of total GDP. The most significant segments within services are: wholesale and retail trade and repairs (14% of overall GDP), transport, warehousing, and communications (12.2%), real estate (12%), education, health, and social services (7.2%), and financial intermediation (7%). Industry accounts for 25% of GDP, and the most important segments within this sector are manufacturing (16% of total GDP), construction (5%), and electricity, water, and gas distribution (3%). The government accounts for 7% of GDP, with the agriculture and fishing sectors accounting for the remaining 4%.
