Argentina Leading Indicator MoM
Leading Index (ILCIF) forecast turning points in economic activity across the cycle in Argentina. Ten series are chosen for the index based on their compliance, temporal consistency, economic rationality, representativeness, and availability. These are the following series: Buenos Aires stock market index, Merval Argentina, approved building plans, cement dispatches, bankruptcies, authorized real estate contracts, consumer confidence index, M2 Money Supply, metallurgical industry, and consumption of intermediate products. Since January 1993, the index's base value is 100.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the ARS while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the ARS.
