Industrial production in Belarus is a calculation that determines the output of firms that are part of the country's industrial sector. Accounting for 88% of overall production the manufacturing is the most important industry.  Food, beverages, and tobacco (about 27%), coke and refined petroleum products (19%), chemicals (13%), machinery and equipment (8%), and metallurgy (7%) are the most important manufacturing segments. 10.5% of the overall output goes for electricity and gas supply, 1.4% goes for mining and quarrying.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the BYN while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the BYN.
