Canada Budget Balance
Budget balance in the context of the government is the difference between government revenues and expenses, excluding interest on public debt costs in Canada. When expenditures equal receipts, the budget is balanced, when revenues exceed expenditures, the country reports a budget surplus, and when expenditures exceed revenues, the country reports a budget deficit.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CAD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CAD.
