Changes over time in the selling prices of new residential houses from contractors to the selling prices of new residential houses, where the specifications of each house remain the same between two successive periods is measured by The New Housing Price Index (NHPI) in Canada.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CAD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CAD.
