China Non Manufacturing PMI

A representative panel of 1200 businesses from the non-manufacturing sector which is based on the Non-Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index survey in China, asks ten questions about business activity, new orders, new export orders, the in-hand orders index, stock, intermediate input price, subscription price, employment, supplier delivery time, and business activities expectations. The diffusion index is computed for each question in turn. The business activity index is typically used to reflect the overall changes in the non-manufacturing sector, as there is no integrated PMI. A reading of the PMI that is greater than 50 percent implies growth from the previous month, while a reading of less than 50 indicates decreasing.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CNY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CNY.
