China Total Social Financing
Total social financing, which refers to the total amount of funding provided by the financial system to the real economy (domestic non-financial firms and families) over a given period of time is used to refer to loans to the private sector in China. Total social finance is a comprehensive measure of credit and liquidity in the economy since it covers off-balance-sheet types of financing such as initial public offerings, loans from trust firms, and bond sales.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CNY while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CNY.
