The business confidence index (ICI) in Colombia gauges the amount of optimism that business leaders in the industrial and commercial sectors have regarding the economic performance and how they feel about the prospects of their own firms. In addition, the index measures predictions for the investment climate, export trade, capacity utilization, and job opportunities. The index is measured on a scale ranging from -100 to 100, with -100 indicating a complete lack of confidence, 0 showing neutrality, and 100 representing high confidence.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the COP while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the COP.
