The level of optimism that households have about their own economic situation and about the country's overall economic condition, taking into account information from the previous and following years, measures the level of optimism that households have about their own economic situation and about the country's overall economic condition is measured in Colombia by the Consumer Opinion Survey (EOC). The poll provides valuable insight into consumers' willingness to purchase household appliances and automobiles, as well as their capacity to qualify for credit financing. The poll is based on a sample of approximately 600 people between the ages of 25 and 44 who live in the four largest Colombian cities and have varying levels of income (low, medium, and high).

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the COP while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the COP.
