Croatia Balance of Trade
Despite the loss of the Yugoslav and Comecon markets, trade continues to be a significant contributor to Croatia's economic production. The country is primarily an exporter of transportation equipment, machinery, textiles, chemicals, foodstuffs, and fuels. And from the other side is a major importer of machinery, transport, and electrical equipment, as well as fuels and lubricants and foodstuffs. Croatia's biggest trading relationships include Italy, Germany, Russia, China, Slovenia, and Austria. As a whole, the European Union is Croatia's most important trading partner.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the HRK while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the HRK.
