Euro Area Marginal Lending Rate
The marginal lending facility, which operates throughout the Euro Area, is intended to supply overnight liquidity, indicate the general stance of monetary policy, and, in most cases, set a ceiling on the overnight market rate. It is open to qualifying counterparties who wish to use it on their own initiative, provided that they meet a number of operational access requirements. In order to access overnight liquidity from national central banks against qualified assets, counterparties can take advantage of the marginal loan facility offered by the central banks. The facility does not have any credit limits or other restrictions on counterparties' access to it under normal circumstances, with the exception of a requirement to demonstrate sufficient underlying assets to the facility. The marginal loan facility is operated in a decentralized way by the central banks of several participating countries.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

German Factory Orders Log Bigger-Than-Expected Fall
Germany's factory orders declined more than expected in May on falling demand from both the domestic market and other euro area economies, official data revealed on Friday. Factory orders decreased 1.4 percent from a month ago, Destatis reported. Orders were expected to drop 0.2 percent after an upwardly revised 1.6 percent rise in April. Orders declined for the first time in four months.

Eurozone Private Sector Expands More Than Estimated
The euro area private sector expanded more than previously estimated in June as both manufacturing and services sectors registered higher output, final survey results from S&P Global showed on Thursday. The HCOB final composite output index advanced to 50.6 in June from 50.2 in May. The reading was well above the flash estimate of 50.2.
