Germany 10-Year Bund Auction
In most cases, a government bond is issued by a national government and is denominated in the currency of the country. Sovereign bonds are bonds that get issued by national governments in foreign currencies. It is the expectation of inflation and the possibility of debt repayment that determines the yield required by investors to lend funds to governments.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

German ZEW Investor Confidence Improves More Than Expected
Investor sentiment in Germany grew for a tenth month and at a faster than expected pace in May to its highest level in over two years, on hopes of an interest rate cut by the European Central Bank in June and an increase in export demand from China, results of a survey revealed Tuesday. The ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment for Germany climbed to 47.1 from 42.9 in April.

German Industrial Production Declines In March
Germany's industrial production declined for the first time in three months in March driven by the decreases in consumer and intermediate goods output, official data revealed Wednesday.
